A/N: like i said in the previous chapter i didn't know when i was going to update but well i did now so yeah i hope you guys enjoy. -xxxx-

Chapter twenty-eight.

I woke up and saw that Darren’s side of the bed was already empty. I looked at the clock to see it was half past twelve, well obviously I was tired. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and saw I had a text message from Lauren. we’ll be there at 5, see you then ;) xx

Today was Christmas which meant that everyone was coming over to celebrate. I had looked forward to it since the day Lauren had called me about it and today it was finally the day. I got out of bed and when I walked into the living room I heard noises from the kitchen. I walked in there and saw Darren. ‘Morning’ I say while wrapping my arms around his waist from behind and kissing his cheek. ‘Morning sleepy head’ he said and smiled. ‘What are you making?’ I say as I looked into the bowl. ‘Pancakes’ he says and smiles. ‘mmh well it smells good, do you need help?’ ‘no I think I can manage it’ he says and grins ‘well then’ I say and smile ‘is it okay if I’ll go change into something decent?’ ‘sure’ he turned around and kissed my cheek ‘I’ll call when it’s ready’ ‘great’ I say and go back to the bedroom. I quickly put on some clothes and brush my teeth. Just when I want to go back to the kitchen Darren yells that the pancakes are ready. ‘I’m coming’ I say and then walk to the kitchen. ‘here’ he says and hands me a plate. We both sit down on the couch, my legs in his lap. ‘mmh I wish we could do this every morning’ I say and sigh happily. ‘yeah I wish too’ he says and smiles.

Darren stands up after he heard the bell ringing. ‘we can that be?’ he says and looks at me. ‘oh I’ll go’ I say and quickly walk to the hallway. I open the door to see Lauren, Joe, Joey, Jaime, Meredith, Brian and Julia. ‘hey guys’ I say and smile. Í take a step back to let them in. they hang their coats and then go into the living room all at once. Daren’s eyes widen in surprise and he smiles brightly. ‘what are you guys doing here?’ he says in an excited voice. ‘we came to celebrate Christmas’ Meredith says as she sits down on the couch. Lauren and I go to the kitchen to get some chairs so everyone can sit but we’re still with too many so Lauren and Joe sit down on the floor. Darren took  me to the kitchen. ‘Bo we never have enough food for all of them’ he says and I just smile ‘that’s what you think’ I say and wink at him. ‘you knew about this?’ he asks. ‘of course I do you silly’ I say and grin. ‘so who of you guys wants something to drink’ I yell to the living room and they all start to yell back. I smile at Darren, ‘can you help me?’ ‘sure’ he opens the cabinet and gets glasses out of it. In the meantime I walk to the kitchen and get a bottle of coke and sprite. We take it to the living room and put it on the table. Lauren looked at the Christmas tree which is standing in the corner next to the tv and then looked at Julia. They smile at each other and stand up. After five minutes they come back carrying a few bags and they walk to the tree. They put presents under it, they’re wrapped it green and red paper with golden ribbons. ‘much better’ Lauren says as she looks at the tree. ‘are we doing present before or after dinner?’ Jaime asks. ‘maybe before is better because after dinner Joey will be drunk and then he can’t remember his presents.’ Brian says and grins as he gets a push against his shoulder from Joey. ‘so presents?’ Lauren asks smiling. ‘Lauren you’re acting like a five year old’ Joey says ‘says who’ Lauren says and giggles. ‘okay presents’ Julia says. ‘Can I start Lauren says excitedly’ everyone rolls their eyes but Lauren doesn’t mind. ‘but we’re not going to spoil it are we? Are we going to tell who bought it?’ Joey says. We made a deal that everyone just bought present for one person because it was way to much to buy presents for everyone, so it was sort of a surprise. Lauren smiles and crawls under the tree to find a present that she likes. ‘okay this one is for’ she read the name tag and smiles ‘Jaime’ she says and hands her the present. Jaime unwraps the present and smiles when she sees what’s in it. ‘what is it?’ Julia asks as she looks at Jaime. ‘it’s a book’ she says and holds it up in the air so everyone can see. ‘who gave it? I want to thank the person properly’ she says and looks around the room to see who is going to answer. ‘I thought we weren’t going to spoil’ Joey says. ‘oh hush you’ Jaime says. ‘I bought it, well sort of, okay Meredith bought it’ Brian says. ‘but well it’s like from us together’ he says. ‘awh thank you guys’ Jaime says and hugs Meredith and then Brian. ‘new one?’ Jaime asks as she stands up and walks to the tree. She takes a tiny present in red paper. She looks at the name tag and smiles. ‘it’s for Julia’ she says. She walks to Julia and hands her the present. Julia looks at it with a little curiosity on her face before unwrapping it. It’s a tiny box and when she opens it she smiles again. ‘earrings’ she says and smiles brightly. Lauren giggles a little. ‘well someone can’t keep secrets’ Julia says and smiles at Lauren. ‘thank you Lo’ she says and hugs her tight. Julia pulls away from the hug and walks to the tree. She gets a new present and brings it to Joe. ‘it feels like clothes or something’ Joe says as he shakes with the present ad squeezes in it. When Joe opened the present it revealed a pink shirt with white letter that read ‘’did you get my text?’’ ‘seriously who of you guys bought this..?’ Joe asks, he tries to be serious but actually he thinks it’s quite funny. ‘it’s not your real present, I just found it funny okay’ Joey says grinning. Joe smiled and looked at the shirt before putting it on over his normal clothes. ‘hello there sexy piece of shit’ Brian says and laughs. Joe rolls his eyes and stands up to get a present. He looks at the present and throws it in Brian’s lap. ‘what if it was fragile?’ Brian says. Joe shrugs and smiles ‘it’s not’ ‘how do you know?’ Brian says. ‘because I know who bought it’ ‘did you..?’ ‘no, just open it’ Brian did. ‘a book?...’ he says ‘a cookbook?’ ‘yes so you can learn how to cook, and we don’t mind to try it for free’ Julia says and smiles ‘it’s hard to buy presents for you, besides Joe made me buy it’ she says and looks at Joe. Brian stands up and walks to the tree. He takes a present with him and hands it to Joey. Joey opens the present and grins. ‘It’s a keychain with a bottle opener, and a sport magazine’ he says and smiles. ‘I’m sorry it’s not really awesome but yeah…’ Jaime says. ‘no it’s okay, I like it’ he says and smiles at her. ‘next?’ he says and stands up ‘yes’ Lauren says and smiles. Joey grins ‘okay okay I’ll get yours’ he says and hands Lauren a present. ‘finally’ she says and giggles. She opens the present. ‘it’s a mug , and it reads ‘’you look lovely today’’ thank you mug, you too’ Lauren says and smiles. ‘who bought this? It’s so cute’ she says. ‘well we have nice shops in New York’ I say and smile at her. ‘did you bought it?’ ‘yes’ I say as I smile at her. ‘awh thank you Bo, it’s really cute’ she says and stands up to hug me. After the hug she walks to the Christmas tree and brings the present to Meredith. Meredith’s eyes light up as she opens the present. ‘wow’ she says and smiles. ‘what is it?’ Lauren asks as she tries to peek on Meredith’s lap. ‘it’s a notebook, look how pretty it is’ she says as she lifts it up.  ‘who gave this?’ she asks smiling. I lean to Darren and whisper. ‘you bought it’ Darren grins. ‘well I’ve heard from a reliable source that I bought it’ he says and smiles at her. She turnes to me and smiles. ‘thanks Bo’ she says. ‘hey, I bought it’ Darren says. ‘mmh sure’ she says and grins. She stands up to get one of the last present and smiles as she hands it to me. I open the package and small as I see that there are bracelets in it. There’s a blue one with a little silver star on it and a braided white one. There’s also an anklet in it which is silver with a flower pendant. ‘awh thank you secret person’ I say smiling at Joe. He has to be the one who bought it since everyone already got revealed except for him and Meredith but it had been a little weird as she got the present she bought herself right? So that’s why I suspected Joe and since he said ‘you’re welcome’ I’m sure I was right. I stand up to get the last present. There’s no need to look at the name tag since everyone already got their presents but I look at it, just in case. He unwraps the present and smiles. ‘thanks’ he says to Meredith. ‘you’re welcome Dare’ she says and smiles. ‘what did you get?’ Jaime asks curiously. ‘a phone case’ he says and smiles.

After we finished dinner we all settled to watch a Christmas movie.  ‘so what do we want to watch?’ I ask as I look at everyone, Lauren and Joe are sitting on the ground, she’s sitting between his legs leaning against his chest. Meredith and Brian are sitting next to each other on the couch under a blanket, and I’m almost hundred percent sure that they’re holding hands. Julia is sitting next to Meredith her legs curled up under her. Jaime and Joe are sitting on the love seat together and Darren is sitting in front of the couch, his back leaning against the armrest. ‘we can watch love actually’ Jaime says. ‘mmh I’ve seen that one a thousand times already’ Lauren says as she’s clearly thinking of another option. ‘oeh we can watch ‘’a boyfriend for Christmas’’ she says and smiles. ‘I’m okay with that’ Jaime says as she smiles at Lauren. ‘yeah me too’ Julia says while Meredith nods. ‘well then we’ll watch that’ I say and  search for the film.

Halfway through the movie people, well Lauren and Julia had fallen asleep. Meredith yawned as she snuggled a little closer to Brian. ‘maybe we should go home’ Joe says after he looked at the clock. ‘yeah it’s quite late already’ Brian says after he too looked at the clock. Joey looks at Jaime who has her eyes closed as well and he softly shakes her shoulder ‘Jaime’ he whispers. Jaime opens her eyes. ‘I wasn’t sleeping’ she says quickly which made us all laugh. Joe carefully waked Lauren while Meredith waked Julia who was leaning on her shoulder. We all gather in the hallway to say goodbye to everyone and after Darren and I hugged everyone and we said comprehensive goodbyes they left. ‘well then’ Darren said as he sat down on the couch. ‘can I finally give my present now?’ he asks as he looks at me. ‘go ahead’ I say smiling. He stands up and leaves the living room. A minute later he comes back in carrying a package and lays it on my lap. ‘there you go’ I unwrap the present and smile as I see it’s a teddy bear. ‘awh Dare it’s so cute’ ‘mmh yeah just like you’ he says and kisses my cheek. ‘that’s not the real present though’ he says and then I notice the bear is holding a tiny box. I look shocked as I open the box because it reveals a ring. ‘oh no no it’s not like that..’ Darren says quickly.  ‘you silly’ I say grinning. ‘it’s just because well it’s pretty and you’re pretty so that’s good match right?’ he says and smiled at me. I wrap my arms around his neck and press a soft kiss against his lips. ‘thank you, I love you’ ‘yeah I would love someone who gave me a ring too’ he says and grins. I give him a playful push against the shoulder. ‘you know I didn’t mean it like that’ I say. ‘of course I do’ he says as he takes the ring out of the box. ‘can i?’ he asks and I smile which he takes as a yes and puts the ring on my finger. I smile as I look at the silver ring on my finger. ‘is it my turn now?’ I ask as I smile at him. ‘hhm yes’ he says and kisses my cheek. I stand up to get the present which I hid in the kitchen and sit back on the couch when I got it. I give him a tiny dark blue box and he opens it. There’s a tiny paper in it which he reads first. ‘’ If music be the food of love, play on.’’ He lays the note on the armreat and looks at what’s in the box. ‘you bought me a guitar pick?’ he asks. I start blushing ‘yes, I thought that you would like that I mean…’ ‘oh I definitely like it’  he says. He gasps softly as he gets it out of the box. ‘you even engraved it..?’ (see picture :3) ‘Well the people in the store did, not me’ I ramble. ‘ruined the moment didn’t I’ ‘mmh’ he says but smiles. ‘but you like it?’ ‘of course I do’ he says ad kisses me. ‘good’ I rest my head on his shoulder and play with the ring on my finger. ‘I love you Dare’ ‘I love you too’ he says. I close my eyes and listen to Darren’s heartbeat. I yawn and feel myself getting more tired by the minute. ‘night’ I whisper. ‘you want to sleep on the couch?’ Darren asks but I don’t hear it anymore since I fell asleep.
