Chapter 17.

I arrive at the classroom and see the door is already closed. ‘well that’s nice’ I mumble in myself. I give a knock on the door. ‘yes?’ I hear from out of the classroom. I slowly open the door and step inside. ‘And where are you coming from misses Smith?’ ‘Uhm…’ ‘Is there a good reason for you being late?’ ‘MyboyfriendsaidIcouldnotbestrictsowetriedandhewasrightandthenhekissedmeandthatiswhyiamlate.’ I rattle but no one herd it. ‘I beg your pardon’ the teacher said. ‘No I have no good reason sir.’ ‘Well then I don’t think that there then is a good reason for you to be here’ ‘What are you serious?’ ‘Yes I am very serious misses Smith.’ ‘Go wait on the hallway and I’ll talk to you after class’ ‘Okay’ I say as I walk out of the class closing the door behind me. I get my phone and decide to text Darren.

Outgoing text: can you believe my luck? I wasn’t only late and everyone started at me as if I killed someone when I came back in class but he sent me out. He just said wait on the hallway and I see you after class. So now I have to wait L -xxx-

I walk to the cafeteria to go and sit on a table as I feel my phone buzzing.

Incoming text: hey Gorgeous I’m sorry about that but you’re not alone. Turn around.

I turn around and see Darren standing in the doorway. ‘How did you know I was here?’ I ask while walking in his Direction. ‘I saw you walking down the hallway and followed you’ he says grinning. ‘Are you sent out as well?’ ‘Yes’ I smile ‘Well why don’t we spend our time together’ he says smiling. ‘We’re badass’ he smirks. I laugh and give him a soft little kiss on his cheek. ‘Why don’t we go outside, it’s beautiful weather.’ ‘Yeah sure’ Darren holds out his hand for me to grab it which I do and then we walk outside together. We sit down on the grass and Darren pulls me into his lap. He wraps his arms around me as I lean my head against his shoulder. ‘I love you’ I say. ‘I love you more’ Darren says with a smile on his face. ‘Well I think that is a discussion you will not win’ I say grinning. ‘We’ll see about that’ ‘Oh will we?’ I say trying not to laugh. ‘Yes but first’ he stops talking and starts tickling me. ‘No Darren NO PLEASE STOP’ I shout. He pauses but according to the smirk on his face that’s not for long and yes I was right. He starts tickling me again as I try to crawl away from him. ‘Oh no you’re not going anywhere’ he says as he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me back on top of him. ‘Don’t you dare start tickling me again’ I say. Darren looks mischievously at me and then starts tickling me again. ‘N-no Darren stop PLEASE OMG STOP’ ‘Okay’ he says smiling and then lays down on the grass. ‘Do you see that cloud over there?’ he points at the sky. ‘Which one’ I say laughing. ‘The one that looks like a dog’ he says smiling. ‘You see it?’ ‘There are the ears and his eyes’ he points at the sky again. ‘I see it’ I say smiling. ‘You’re cute’ he says stroking a loose strand of hair out of my face and then kissing my neck. I close my eyes and listen to his respiration. ‘I love you’ ‘I love you too’ he whispers. We lay there for the rest of the hour and finally get up when the bell rings. ‘I need to get back to my class the teacher wanted to see me after class.’ ‘I’ll see you at the lockers okay?’ ‘Yeah okay I’ll wait for you’ he says giving me a short little kiss on my cheek. I stand up and go back to the class. ‘You wanted to see me?’ ‘Yes indeed, have a seat’ I sit down in front of the class my bag beside me. ‘If I may ask why were you late? Because you’re never late’ ‘I –I uhm’ ‘You don’t have to tell me’ he says in a soft voice. ‘As long as you’ll be in time next time’ ‘I will sir I promise’ ‘Then you may go now and I’ll see you tomorrow’ ‘Bye’ I say as I stand up and grab my bag. I go to my locker to find Darren leaning against it. ‘Hey gorgeous’ he says smiling. ‘Hey handsome’ I say giving him a kiss on the cheek. I open my locker and get my jacket. ‘Shall we go?’ I ask. ‘Yeah sure.’ He replies. ‘I was thinking since we go bowling tonight maybe you could come with me now and have dinner at my place so we can go there together?’ I pause. ‘If you want to of course’ I say blushing. ‘I’d love to’ he says and wraps his arm around my shoulder while walking outside to our bikes. We cycle to my home and I open the front door as we arrive. ‘Hello?’ nobody answers. ‘No one is home yet’ I say. ‘Do you want something to drink?’ I ask while walking to the kitchen and leaving my jacket in the hallway. ‘Some water is fine’ he says and sits down on the couch in the living room. I come back with a glass of water handing it to Darren. ‘Don’t you want something?’ he asks. ‘Nah I’m not really thirsty’ I say as I sit down and snuggle into him on the couch. I feel my phone buzz in my pocket and get it out.
