It was 6 o’clock by the time I had gathered up enough energy to start getting ready. I lifted Theo up off my lap and lay him against my chest as I stood up, being careful not to wake him as I walked down the hall and into my room, laying Theo in the crib beside my bed. Alex and I had decided that for as long as Mum was away, Theo would stay in my room and Tilly in Alex’s, that way waking up in the night would be fairly spread.

I stepped out of my clothes, leaving them in a heap on the floor and stepped into the shower, I washed my body and my hair. Despite the hot water that was pouring over me, the thought of a date with Matt made my blood run cold.

I ran a hairdryer roughly through my hair, letting it fall in tousled waves around my head. I pulled out a pair of skinny jeans, threw on a top and shrugged a blazer over my shoulders.

I looked up to the clock as Theo started to scream. 7:30. I plucked Theo up from his crib and rocked him on my hip as his bright eyes twinkled.

“Tiaaaaaa, you’re hot date’s here!” Alex crowed from the front room.

“Shit, he’s early,” I mumbled to myself. I hadn’t put any make up on or got my bag together. I had no choice but to let him in. “yeah tell them to open the gates, I’m not ready yet!”

*MATT’S POV*

I rolled the car through the gates and searched for the house number. I had expected the houses to be more like cabins; from outside the place looked like a prison! But as I drove down through the camp, I noticed that the houses were actually quite nice.

Number 6. This was it.

“Hey, this Tia’s place?” I asked. The man at the door confused me, he looked to be a similar age to me and he had a baby perched on his hip. Who the fuck was he?

“Yeah! You must be Matt?” he replied, “come in!”

We made pointless small talk for about 5 minutes before the conversation fizzled out.

“I’ll just go check how she’s getting on.” He smiled.

Tia sauntered into the room in place of the man. She looked stunning; her beauty was natural unlike most of the girls I dated. She was dressed simply but she managed to look so effortlessly graceful as she moved around the room. She also had a baby perched on her hip, but it wasn’t the same baby.

“You’re early.” She stated

“You have a baby?!” I asked in disbelief.

“This is my brother, Theo.” She replied bluntly, I got the feeling she wasn’t entirely elated at my presence here.

“Who was the guy?” I asked

“Alex.”

“And that was his baby?”

“No. Theo’s twin.”

“The baby isn’t coming on the date right?”

“No, I wouldn’t subject him to the torture of spending an evening in your company.”

Ouch.

*TIA POV*

As we entered the restaurant I couldn’t help but notice 80% of the females in the room turn their heads and stare in awe of the man who strutted ahead of me, drinking up all the female attention as he went. Matt was gorgeous, I can’t deny him that, but he knew it and I could tell he had used it frequently in the past to his advantage.

He was dressed nicely, his toned bum and strong legs were covered by mustard coloured chinos, a dark navy sweater adorned his torso and a pair of white converse completed the look.
