I was walking back home with Andrea and Søren. It was nice to make another friend but I feel like me and Søren will end up having a small competition over her. "You've got to be kidding me!" huffed a voice. We all turned around and saw the girl from earlier. She still looked as pissed off as she did back in class.
"Delilah, not now," begged Andrea. Her hands were clasped out in front of her and she seemed to know this girl. Glad to know her name is as high maintenance as she looks. Andrea took hold of our arms and started to tug us towards the house in a hasty manner.
The girl, Delilah, wrapped her arm around Andrea's shoulder. She was preventing us from going home. Is this Delilah the other tenant? A smirk formed on Delilah's face. I didn't like the way this was heading. "I was just thinking about what you were going to do with these two boys. Something your brother would be ashamed of." cooed Delilah. She was trying to stir up trouble wasn't she.
I watched as Andrea blushed. I didn't know if she was embarrassed or angry. "Delilah was it?" I asked raising a brow. Who does this girl think she is? I don't care if she lives with us or goes to the same school. There's no need to imply someone is a whore over who their friends are. She shrugged at my question.
"Well it is or it isn't, either way you shouldn't say stuff about her like that." I stated. Delilah yawned in response. I hated people like her. "Boring you am I?" I asked. I knew she was one of these girls that would try and profile me. Jealousy was never a good look on a pretty face.
We were home before we know it and Andrea rushed up to the door and unlocked it. She ushered both of us boys in before stepping inside herself. Judging by the way she left the door ajar for Delilah, I don't think Andrea likes her either. That's fine by me. "Welcome back, how has your day been?" asked Anders as soon as he spotted us.
He definitely gives off big brother vibes. Søren started filling him on the details of our half day and I made a few interjections myself but I couldn't help but wait for another smart ass remark. "It's nice to meet you properly, it was a little hectic earlier, I'm sorry about that," said Anders with an apologetic smile. Delilah was lazily making her way up the stairs.
Anti-social much. "How about you go and get changed and then we'll sort out dinner." suggested Anders. I walked out, my school bag swinging and knocking into my thigh. Changing out of this would be a dream. As much as I like the uniform, it's a little stifling compared to what we wore in Australia. I undid the tie and made my way to my room. The door now had my name on it in gilded letters.
I entered and pulled out a tank top and some sweat pants. Nothing special. Maybe I should write a letter to Mum. Wait. Maybe she'd want one at the end of the week. At least then I'd have more to tell her. I didn't have much from today. I went back to sitting downstairs. "Wifi password is on the box," murmured Anders from his sprawled out position on the couch. I nodded and sat down on one of the other chairs. "What brought you here?" I asked. I wanted to know more about Anders.
"I came over here on a transfer. I was a little bit of a trouble maker back home. A few years later, Andrea comes over and ends up in the same school. It's hell being away for so long." explained Anders. His tone was sad but still he smiled. I guess he enjoyed it here. "I came out here for the same reason. Old man was giving me trouble," I said.
Anders nodded and got a glint in his eyes. "Send him my way and I'll rough him up for you," he joked. Søren and Andrea joined us not too long after. Just as we were talking about what we wanted for food, Delilah flounced into the room like she owned the place and sat next to Andrea. Andrea looked really uncomfortable and moved as closer to the edge of the couch as she could.
"Andrea...." Delilah started speaking in this awfully sickly sweet voice. She was definitely up to something. "Yes?" asked Andrea. Her voice in contrast was bubbly and friendly. You could tell who was fake around here. "I need help with my homework, can you help me?" asked Delilah. She seemed to make eye contact with Søren. I got the feeling no one wanted her around. She gave me rich kid vibes.
Andrea said some time after dinner and that reminded me. Søren and I got some aid material to help us with the homework. I was going to be put through the paces at this school. The dinner was take away because none of us wanted to cook and Anders said he was so busy today that he hadn't gone grocery shopping.
Delilah ate it despite complaining all the time that it wasn't gourmet food. I could picture it now, Daddy's little girl who get anything that she wants and has a personal chef at home because her taste is so picky. Delilah also made sure that we knew that she wouldn't say she liked the food and that she was on a stupid diet. Who the hell cares? I sure didn't. She didn't make a good first impression.
She's already shown me today that she's a bully, narcissistic, whiny, rich and a whole list of other things. I hope she stays out of my way or god forbid, I might break her tiny little heart.
She's going to make this a long 4 years.
