"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Adhara Aldevaro and I'm your chief flight attendant. On behalf of Captain Nathan Everett and first officer Thompson and the entire crew, welcome aboard NYC Wings Airways. This is flight W0134 and we are departing for Los Angeles, California. The time today is exactly 1 o'clock in the afternoon, our flight time will be of approximately 5 hours and 23 minutes and we shall cruise at an altitude of 36,000 feet. A warm welcome to all our Winger milers aboard!"

Once I finished all the airline announcements I needed to say, I ended it with a smile.

I am Adhara Selene Aldevaro, despite being betrayed 3 years ago I still managed to succeed and live. This is my life now and I'm living the life I wanted.

Habang naka upo kami sa designated seats namin, bumulong saakin ang katabi kong flight attendant.

"Which class are you assigned?"

"VIP class," sagot ko at ngumiti.

"I envy you! We have a VIP border today; I heard his name is Zachary, I think? He's from the Philippines too!" kinikilig na sabi nya saakin kaya natawa ako.

"You want to join me?"

Her eyes twinkled with my question, "Is it allowed to switch class?"

Tanong nya saakin dahil baguhan pa lamang sya sa airlines namin. I laughed a little, she's 2 years younger than me which reminds me of...

Whatever.

"Don't you remember that Nathan Everett is our captain today? He's the son of the CEO in NYC Wings Airlines." I whispered.

"That's right!" gulat na sabi nya saakin at biglang humawak sa braso ko. "As far as I remember, he's your best friend right!"

Tumawa lang ako sa sinabi nya nang may naalala. Kumalat noon sa airlines namin na in relationship daw kami ni Nathan dahil lagi kaming nakikita na mag kasama.

Nathan is the first person that I met when I landed in John F Kennedy International Airport here in New York. Pareho kaming galing sa Pilipinas noon at mag katabi rin kami sa airplane, tsaka ko lang sya napansin noong pareho kami na hindi alam kung saan pupunta pagkalabas ng airport dito sa New York.

That's when I learned that Nathan is half Filipino and half American. Since we're both new to our environment, we explored New York together. We both rent a condominium in the same building, pumili pa nga kami ng room na mag kaharap para malapit pa rin kami sa isa't isa.

Our relationship is an open friendship... because Nathan is bisexual. Bilang dugong Pinoy, medyo hindi pa ako sanay noon na medyo touchy si Nathan until I confronted him about it and he suddenly confessed to me that he was being bullied by the people around him for being bisexual that's why he decided to move here to New York where his parents are currently working and I was the only one who knew that Nathan is bisexual. He doesn't like people to know about it because of his experience that's why rumors started to spread about us.

Tinawanan lang namin ang mga balitang yun dahil kahit pala nasa ibang bansa ka, pinag chichismisan ka parin.

We didn't know there are Marites here too.

We took advantage of the rumors for our own good, since may itsura rin si Nathan ay habulin sya ng mga babae rito sa New York kaya naman ginagamit nya ako para hindi sya lapitan ng mga babae. Minsan naman ay ako ang nilalapitan ng mga lalake kaya andyan sya para pigilan ang mga ito.
