Len racked his brain to come up with a plan... But it was all in vain

He had to take his chances and let his horrible luck take the wheel for once

With lightning speed he quickly grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and explained the situation to her

"We have to split up"

He expected her to struggle and deny his plan but instead she gave a firm nod and asked what they should do

"I thought you'd get mad at me..." He said, was that slight dejection in his tone? It went as soon as it came and they were back to the normal conversation topic

"On top of the tower there is a room where some of the strongest bakus hold meetings." He said while pointing at the castle like building. Then he brought his hand lower to point at small windows that seemed to be littered around the castle walls

"See those?" He asked "That's where your friends probably are. You have to run there as quick as possible and bail them out." He finished

The girl was sure she could do it but she wasn't very optimistic about leaving the boy behind. What if he got hurt? What if he had a breakdown? What if-

"Hey." Len's booming voice snapped her out of her dark thoughts. His voice turned gentle once he noticed he had her attention

"You have nothing to worry about. The meeting is no dangerous or anything... So..." His voice turned into a whisper as his bangs covered his eyes, his hands resting on top of her shoulders now in a desperate attempt at keeping himself stable

"Please promise me you won't get distracted..."

His voice was so small that she could've missed it if she wasn't paying him attention. He became so kind and gentle, even though he used to be a broken boy with no warmth. The time he spent with her was truly valuable and he cherished everything

Yet he knew the outcome of this

He had to put a brave face and let her go alone... Even though it's crystal clear. In the end this whole adventure was nothing more than a small travel for them. It would be buried as soon as they return to normal and enjoy their days. Because their daily lives were more fun than this monochrome world his kin calls home

"I promise you, Lenny!" She cheered and held his hands, slowly retracting them so she could stand up, Len following suit

"But wait! I don't know the layout! What if I get lost?" She panicked while looking around

The baku next to her laughed and gave her his watch. His prized posession in this dimension that allowed him to,not only tell the time, but also locate his victims

He shoved the watch into her hand and pressed the top. Unlike before it didn't have floating numbers but instead it had a map

The map had yellow dots around but the most dots were seated right in the corner, crumpled up with eachother

"Look." He said and pointed at the crowd of yellow "Those are the cells. Just run there and look for your friends but don't let any of the others fool you." He said and turned around, fixing his hat in the process

"Let's meet up later. The meeting lasts a few hours and a loud bang will occur once it's finished. That bang is your danger sign, make sure you're out of the tower before that." And with that he held his cane with one hand and jumped towards the meeting site

(Y/N) stood there dumbfounded at the sudden information she was dumped with. Shaking herself, she quickly opened the watch and ran towards where the cells should be
