Then his lips touched mine. It was a gentile kiss. His lips were soft and wet. As our lips connected a fire was lit in my stomach that sent sparks through my body. I closed my eyes instinctually when our lips met. My first kiss. The kiss was over before I knew it. I only managed to get a feel of the feeling before it was over. My heart was beating in my chest. Liam had to hear it. I didn't move. Liam had barely moved his lips away from mine. They were so close that I could still sense them. But that wasn't enough. I wanted the sensation again. Our lips connected. We looked into each other's eyes. That's when I did something I never thought I would do. I lifted my head from the wall and kissed him again. This time the kiss wasn't that gentile. Liam put his hands on my face, and I took mine around his neck.
«We are closing now» The librarians voice came from across the room. Her voice pulled me back to reality. Our kiss broke.
«I have to go» I panicked and grabbed my backpack that had fallen on the floor during the kiss and slipped past Liam. Walking fast out of the library. When I opened the door, I could hear steps behind me.
«Jo wait! » Liam called after me. He ran down the stairs and caught up with me outside. He grabbed my hand and I stopped.
«What Liam? What are you, we doing? » I quickly turned around and asked. This was all too confusing.
«I don't know about you, but that kiss was amazing» Liam gave me a genuine smile. I blushed and looked down on the ground. Realizing my right boot was a bit dirty. «Especially the second one». He took his hand and brushed away some hair from my face. His touch sent shivers down my spine.
«I don't know what you want from me. I'm not some toy. » I needed to know what was happening, but it was clear that I wouldn't figure it out by myself.
«I never say you were. » He said it in a low voice and took a finger under my chin, lifting it. Looking in my eyes. I couldn't help but look into his blue eyes. «I know what you must have heard and think of me, but not everything is true. » He kissed me again. Once again, my stomach was filled with butterflies, and I felt like my feet was lifting from the ground. «I like you. What do you say to that? » Liam asked as the kiss broke. «I don't know what it is but since you walked into the dorm room, I've been thinking about you. » His words made me smile. Never before had a boy said anything like this to me. High school was the place to try this for the first time. I was a totally clueless and what made it worse was that I knew he wasn't.
«I like you too. I think» Adding the last sentence to show how unsure I was.
«Oh, you just think. » He smirked. Clearly bugged by it. «Well, let me convince you then» He kissed me again. «Now? »
«Yes» I said. Unable to hide a small smile. Liam grinned please to have convinced me. «But it's complicated. »
«Your brother? » Liam sighed.
«No, well yes. » I didn't know how to explain how little I knew about these types of situations. He must have understood something by the way Matt was acting but be didn't know just how green I was.
«Listen, you don't have to decide anything tonight. Just at least give me your number»
«Sure» I said and handed him my phone. He took it and typed in his number. He then took a selfie. I presume it was for his profile picture in my contacts. Liam gave the phone back, and I texted him «Hi».
«Perfect. » He said pleased and took his phone out of his pocket. Showing me, he'd got it.
«Is getting late. I have to go. » Liam looked at me with puppy dog eyes.
