Arc 3: Prince Daddy (66)

She holds a special pill System Wu gave her. It can remove an aphrodisiac effect within five minutes. Hong Cha finally found him with the help of System Wu. She quickly hid behind the moon gate because of what she saw. Her cheeks went beet red since the great crown prince was dealing with his own problems. Hong Cha thought for a moment. She cant just show up and give him a medicine. He will find it suspicious. Thus, she waited for him to finish and placed the pill in a confection she kept in her satchel.

"Is anybody here?" she entered the courtyard on time when Ying Wenxiang finished. Hong Cha saw his shoulder trembling from the coldness. "Crown Prince?"

"En?" Ying Wenxiang have to answer. He breathed heavily. That voice, so familiar that copied an oriole's. This made him remember his wife back when they hadn't married yet. She used to call him using his name but she'd rather refer to him as Your Highness or Crown Prince when they copulate. Ying Wenxiang's desire intensified. He bit his lip to avoid groaning.

"Your Highness almost scared me there." she stepped closer to the spring and neared Ying Wenxiang's position. Even with the pale moonlight making his skin glow snowy, his blushing was hard to hide. "Is Crown Prince alright?"

"F-fine..." almost a whisper, he turned his face sideways to avoid seeing her.

"Oh. By the way, Crown Prince, I made a confection supposedly for His Highness the Third Prince. However, I am not sure if he will like it. Can Your Highness be kind enough to have a taste?" Hong Cha knelt on the waterside and leaned closer to him. Ying Wenxiang slowly opened his eyes before gazing at her. The full moon just behind her, casting shadow over her face yet her eyes reflected him as it sparkled with the spring water around him. He was stunned for a moment. She looks exactly like his wife when she was sixteen as well. "Your Highness, here is a sample. Please try it."

Ying Wenxiang broke from his dazed state. He reached his hand for the confection but he paused. His teeth gritted with his fist on top of his chest. It felt painful. Because he knew, right now, he is deceiving himself that she was his late wife. And he is afraid to continue lying at himself but he also wants to believe his dreamy state. Hong Cha tilted her head. His reluctant face full of remorse, she finds it familiar.

"Camellia!"

"What!?"

"I didn't mean to. Please, stay here. I don't want to be separated from you again."

"You left! For years! For decades! For centuries! And here you are saying I should stay? Gu Zixing, you lying devil."

"Stay, I am begging you. Camellia, please." Gu Zixing gritted his teeth, reaching his hand out for her but Hong Cha moved away. His expression melancholic.

"Your Highness. This girl knows what you are thinking." instead, she intertwined their hands and received his shocked response. Hong Cha smiled lightly before getting the confection closer to his lips. "I look like your wife, we know that both. At this moment, you wished I was her just to comfort yourself. However, you know this is an act of foolishness because it is how a man with no hopes trying to claim what wasn't realistic anymore."

"Sorry, I thought you were..." Ying Wenxiang dropped the formalities. His eyelashes fanned after feeling calm again. Hong Cha just nodded and motioned the confection. Ying Wenxiang let her hand go. He received the confection and it tastes a bit off. There was something odd with the flavor.

"Ehm, its already so late. I should go back. Third Prince is waiting." she stood up without waiting for his next words. Ying Wenxiang leaned on the stone when she left. His eyes lowered while thinking deeply. He knitted his brows upon feeling his desire getting alleviated.

Hong Cha walked back to the banquet hall. She quietly sat next to Ying Huai. He glanced at her while biting a confection.

"Where did you go?" he curiously asked, his tone a bit different. Hong Cha blinked. Is there something different about Ying Huai or was it just her imagination?

"Outside." Hong Cha shortly replied. Ying Huai chuckled.

"So distant, eh? Hong Cha?" Ying Huai said whilst picking up another confection.

"Wait, Gu Jiaoyue?" her eyes rounded in surprise. He was able to control Ying Huai now?

"Be grateful I interfered. Ying Huai followed you a while ago and I forced my system to take over his thoughts. He didn't see you meeting up with his older brother. But I did." Gu Jiaoyue smiled playfully. "Additionally, I found out I am more active at night since the male lead is tired at this rate. So, if the male lead changes his behaviour at night, it would be me taking control of his body."

"That is great." she was relieved Gu Jiaoyue can help her. Hong Cha stopped conversing with him after a while. The entertainment had bored her so she fell asleep. Gu Jiaoyue looked at her. Her head tilting from time to time. He sighed and went closer to her. Gu Jiaoyue made her head lean on his shoulder. The onlookers were stupefied to see him letting a girl stay that close to him since everyone knew Ying Huai is the ice cold prince of Qin. Ying Wenxiang happened to return in order to retrieve Ying Wendao when he saw this. He and Gu Jiaoyue locked gazes.

"Well, Hong Cha seemed to have attracted another trouble." he first looked away and contacted the system. "Is one of the male leads my brother?"

[Scanning.]

[Ding! 5% chance that the Crown Prince is Master Gu.]

"That low?" Gu Jiaoyue looked away and reached for another confection.

[The rate can increase above fifty if one of the male leads becomes overly possessive to Miss Hong Cha. However, it will endanger Miss Hong Cha since Master Gu's dark side may get involved. Host, you know how Master Gu behaves if he is displeased. Specially on how determined he is to harm everyone around Miss Hong Cha after they had that argument in Earth 3.]

"Tsk, Elder Brother is really dull when it comes to emotions. No wonder Hong Cha vowed to destroy him." Gu Jiaoyue smiled bitterly and looked down at Hong Cha. It was lucky she doesn't remember everything. If she had, she will commit suicide than becoming a world-hopper. Or worse, she can outsmart Gu Jiaoyue so she can make Gu Zixing suffer again and again.
