"You mean to say?" Empress Xin narrowed her eyes on the head eunuch who is already having cold sweat.

"The foreign princess just left Guan Palace and my servants couldn't find her. It is possible she copulated with the first prince or resulted in a different way." the head eunuch answered in fear. Empress Xin massaged her forehead. She look so unhappy with the result.

"The lucky princess of Chu should be Ah Wen's! Investigate and do not come back until you get the result!" she waved her sleeve in annoyance. The head eunuch scurried off when he stopped. Empress Xin paused from drinking tea, her eyes widened to see Ying Wenxiang. His gaze was quite dark and it was no secret he was provoked.

"It was really you who poisoned Her Highness." Ying Wenxiang calmly strode to Empress Xin's direction. He halted his steps a couple of meter away from her.

"Ah Wen, Im just doing this for your sake." Empress Xin stood up and smiled at him. Her son deserves every best things in the world, including an auspicious wife, whole Qin and the rest of the Seven Warring States. Yet, that mere concubine-born prince keeps getting on the way!

"Empress Mother, this is wrong. Princess Mi Cha will marry Third Brother in few days time!" he retorted back. Ying Wenxiang rarely disobey Empress Xin since he grew up as a filial son. However, he didn't do two thing she asked for him to do. One, forgetting his first wife, Hong Cha. Two, participating for the enthronement. "Princess Mi Cha have the same face as Hong Cha but they differ in their origin and personality yet you want me to covet my brother's fiance than focus in raising my child with Xiao Cha? Empress Mother, you had gone too far this time!"

"Ah Wen!" Empress Xin trembled in anger. Ying Wenxiang had argued with her one time and it was because of his marriage with his lowly lover. This moment, it was about her plans for him! She was paving his way for his success! Why cant he see her sacrifices for him as his mother? "Ah Wen, be responsible towards Princess Mi Cha or I will expose what you two did."

"Go on. You were always like this when Im against you." Ying Wenxiang's eyes flashed sharply. "In return, I will also tell them the reason behind Imperial Noble Consort Hu's sudden death. Wasn't it an accident, Mother?"

Empress Xin froze. Her eyes contracted in disbelief. He knew? Then that must mean...

"I was silent this whole time, Empress Mother. Father Emperor's most favored concubine didn't die because of childbirth complications. You were the one in-charge for the concubine's tonics and slowly poisoned her so she will become weak during labor. You did the same to Xiao Cha but I didn't do anything because I still see you as my mother. I suffered alongside hers as I did everything to look for a cure but it was too late when I found out. You no longer have to wonder why I am revolting against you. However, this time, if you dare ruin Princess Mi Cha's reputation, I will not hesitate to help her and tell Father Emperor of your crimes."

She almost fell back in fear but the servants worriedly caught her. Ying Wenxiang's heels tapped the tiled floor as he left. The crisp echoes almost mirrored her death toll. Empress Xin recovered and furiously threw everything on the tea table next to her chair.

"This is not what is supposed to happen!" she looked as if she had gone crazy from anger. Empress Xin glared at the trembling servants. "No one should know this! If this comes out, I will have everyone of your family persecuted!"

"We will not, Your Majesty!" they all knelt down in fear, including the high ranking head eunuch. Empress Xin left with heaver quick steps. She arrived in a different chamber filled with a green dragon's painting.

"Foolish son! Why is he like this? Ah Wen is becoming rebellious, this is definitely not a good sign." she spoke on her own with her fox-like eyebrows knitted. Empress Xin thought for a moment. "Hong Cha, that vile woman! She did this to Ah Wen!"

"Ahchuuu!" Hong Cha sneezed in a sudden that noon. She faced the window of her room while lying down. Gu Jiaoyue had offered her help for the wedding night but he must stay low and tire Ying Huai's consciousness. But ever since yesterday, she cant stop thinking of Ying Wenxiang. Her face blushed upon recalling how he cared for her. So far, that was the most memorable night she had. The previous ones even with Lin Xingjin was a nightmare. But with Ying Wenxiang, he always made sure she feels good before himself.

"Princess." her eyes blinked and a man in black suit appeared in front of her. He knelt down and offered a bowl of medicine soup. Hong Cha sat up from the bed in confusion. "His Highness the First Prince asked for Princess Mi Cha to consume this medicine as to avoid any further problems."

"Oh." she knew what the medicine is. Hong Cha didn't take it yet and was silent for a period of time. "Where is he? I want to talk to him. He hadn't show up since yesterday."

"His Highness..." the shadow guard hesitated for a moment. He lowered his head in silence.

Ying Wenxiang lit up an incense for Hong Cha. He carefully traced the name carved on the tombstone. His lips slowly rose to a faint smile but his eyes reflected untold sorrows.

"Xiao Cha, I feel ashamed." he started. Ying Wenxiang breathed deeply. "There is this girl called Mi Cha. She had visited you before. It was like she was your reincarnation but I know it's impossible. And, Mi Cha seems to like me but I don't want to get involved with her because she is Xiao Huai's fiance. However, we did something we shouldn't had. I don't know why but I let us go further though I know clearly it was wrong. Funny that I cant stop thinking of her."

"If you cant then just look for me." unexpectedly, a pair of slender arms wrapped around his waist and a soft body got stuck on his back. Ying Wenxiang froze as Hong Cha looked up to him with her cheeky smile. "Ying Wenxiang, I had a wet dream about you yesterday. Its your fault, hehe."

Forget it, she's completely hopeless!
