"Wang fei, can I ask you something?" Ying Huai faced Hong Cha after some time of conversing with Ying Wenxiang. Hong Cha nodded whilst eating continuously. She stopped when Ying Huai inched closer to her and whispered to her ear. "I see you are fond of children. For example, Little Dao. You are turning seventeen this year and Im at the right age as well. What about bearing a child? Eldest Brother had Little Dao when he was twenty. My younger brothers and even Second Brother are in their teens when their wives conceived their first childs."

"Puu!" Hong Cha choked on her tea. Ying Wenxiang took out a fan and spread it open to block the tea coming after him. He furiously glared at Hong Cha but came to notice her embarrassed face. She lowered her head with her hands hiding her shy red expression. Ying Wenxiang took a gander to Ying Huai and saw his third brother grinning in amusement. "Y-Your Highness, but qie (this wife/concubine) is afraid of, of the result. Qie heard from the nannies it will hurt for the first time. And then the second, or maybe even the third."

"What will hurt?" Ying Wendao curiously asked. Hong Cha became even more flustered with an innocent boy asking it.

"Nothing, Your Highness." Hong Cha nervously said. A boy will not understand it though. Ying Wendao looked at his father who was doing nothing though he can feel Ying Wenxiang is affected. He knows that Ying Wenxiang and Hong Cha had an ambiguous moments whenever he is not around them.

"Third Uncle, your wife really look exactly like my mother. Father have a lot of paintings of her in the manor. No wonder Father is doting on Princess Consort Zhu. Father also k-" before he can continue, Ying Wenxiang stuffed a meat bun in the boy's mouth. Ying Wendao glared at his father. He was helping him get back on Ying Huai! Why did he shut him up? Ying Wendao unhappily bit the bun and held the half left.

"They...?" Ying Huai tilted his head a bit. What did they do? He glanced at Hong Cha who looked nonchalant.

"Well, Crown Prince let qie take care of Prince Dao back then. His Highness had an argument with Crown Prince so he ran away and stayed at Guan Palace with qie. Crown Prince saw how reliant Prince Dao is to qie. Maybe because qie resembles Crown Prince's late wife." Hong Cha lied with a straight face. She can guess Ying Wendao wanted to expose her affair with his father. That was a close call.

On the other side, Mi Yan suddenly remembered the day she saw Ying Wenxiang carrying a girl. She dropped her chopsticks and apologized for disturbing them. Mi Yan picked it up and glanced at Hong Cha's shoes. Her eyes widened to see it was the same shoes she saw that day.

"Sister Mi Yan, is everything alright?" Hong Cha asked upon noticing Mi Yan's complexion turning pale.

"N-nothing. I just remembered something important. Well, Sister Mi Cha, I should go first." Mi Yan left in a hurry. It cant be... Her sister let Ying Wenxiang carry her somewhere else?

"Eldest Brother, is she that fond of Little Dao?" Ying Huai asked as they strolled around the marketplace. Hong Cha is attending Ying Wendao, showing him many toys a boy of his age could use. Ying Wendao is having fun too. This scene is like a mother taking care of her child.

"Her Highness is kind to Dao. Your nephew refer to her as Princess Mom back when she wasn't married yet. Dao seemed to be attached to her." Ying Wenxiang answered back. Ying Huai sighed as if he was disappointed. "What is it?"

"Well, I asked her if we should have a child but she is afraid. It must be because of the childbirth complications some women had that can cause death or the pain of labor." he scratched the back of his head in shame. Ying Huai doesn't know what to do. Ever since their wedding night, nothing else happened. "Im going to leave Xianyang three days from now and she seemed to be not interested to sleep with me. Eldest Brother, you have a wife once, what should I do?"

"Oh." Ying Wenxiang could have chuckled if it was another woman but no, this is about Hong Cha. "We cant force our wives. They are the ones who should initiate to serve us. I had tried to ask for my late wife in the past to serve me but she refused and only initiated it after months of loneliness I spent. That is why our brothers have concubines to replace their wives."

"Wang ye, look!" Hong Cha came to them with Ying Wendao hopping towards Ying Wenxiang. Ying Huai was behind Ying Wenxiang and the way Hong Cha smiled seemed to be directed to him instead of his younger brother. Hong Cha passed through Ying Wenxiang which disappointed him the most. She showed Ying Huai a pair of necklace with half circular pendants made of jade and a half a lotus flower carved on it. If the pedants joined, the lotus flower will become full and so is the circle. "Wang ye, this is good for couples. Qie thought maybe... Maybe wang ye wears one."

"Can you lock it for me then?" Ying Huai smiled as Hong Cha nodded happily. She stepped closer and even tiptoed to arrange the necklace. After locking it, Ying Huai suddenly leaned down and pecked on her lips.

"W-wang ye!" she abashedly covered her mouth. Ying Huai chuckled and pinched her red cheeks. This scene fell on Ying Wenxiang's eyes. He knew he is jealous but he cant do anything because he doesn't have the rights to do so.

"Father, Princess Mom purchased these for us too. Mine have a carving of half a dragon's head and yours too." Ying Wendao cheerfully said and showed Ying Wenxiang the necklace. "Isn't this cool? Its a dragon ah!"

"Why don't you wear it Little Dao?" Ying Huai saw this and took a good look at the pendant.
