Chapter 36

Jihyun P.o.v.(4 YEARS BACK)
I rushed to the hospital with y/n, after I got the call. At the help desk, I asked the woman where my daughter was admitted, she gave me the room name and the floor. On reaching the room, we saw a man coming out. He saw me rushing and got the hint that I was her family. He approached us and said.
"Ae-ra is your daughter?"
I nodded and asked him who he was.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." He lowered his head and walked away.We weren't allowed to enter the room, doctors said she was in a really bad condition. We peeked through the window to see her in blood. I couldnt see the sight and broke down. Y/n held onto me, scared.
The nurse in the room came out and said "Have you seen the man who was here some moments ago?"
"He went that way, I am her mother. How is she? She is not gonna die, is she?"
"He is the one that brought her here. The doctor will be out soon. You can ask him about her. Now if you excuse me."
Oh, so that person brought her here. I should thank him, shouldn't I? I asked y/n to sit on the bench and went in the direction he went. He was standing at the counter. I approached him.
"Umm..excuse me? I'm Min Jihyun, Ae-ra's mom. I just wanted to thank you, for bringing her here."
He looked at me, saying "Dont thank me, I feel bad I couldn't bring her here any sooner. My car broke down in the middle. I feel guilty, for having brought her so late. I'm sorry, ma'am."
I nodded and wiped my tears as i walked away from his sight. I forgot to ask his name, I thought.

End of flashback.(Back to Taehyung's p.o.v.)

We all heard the story about y/n's sister and I could see y/n putting her head down. I wonder what she dreamt about last night, why was she so scared. Is something bothering her again?
"You silly girl, stop forgetting your phone at my house. You're gonna be a mom now, start being a little mature atleast, will you?" She playfully smacked her head.
Y/n took her phone, thanking her mom. We asked her to stay and have lunch, but she said she had lots of work at home. She excused herself and went back home. After we had finished our discussions, we went back to our room. Y/n sat there,zoning out.
"Hey."I said to get her attention. She hummed in response,as she caressed her baby bump.
"Is my princess fine?"
"Who? Me?" I nodded. "Im fine, Im just tired."
"Is there any way I can help you?"
"Well you can hug me. Not too tight though, this naughty kid just keeps kicking, and I cant sit straight."
I hugged her.

6 months later.
I dragged myself to the convenience store, we had run out of food. Taehyung had asked me not to go out alone, but I insisted because I had gotten really hungry. As I came out of the store, I froze, looking at the man standing outside. His eyes met mine. I turned around and started walking home.
"Hey y/n! Long time no see."I heard Soobin's voice. I had not seen him in my dreams, but I still didn't trust him at all. I struggled to walk back home, as I had this real urge to pee.
"Hey, I could give you a ride back home if you're okay with it. Will you be fine walking home like that?"
I continued to walk, ignoring him. I heard the sound of motor behind me. I remembered the bike that had passed by me few months ago. Was it the same person. I had to hurry back home, I couldn't risk anything.
"Come on, y/n, im not gonna harm you. Come on already, I missed you so much. Its a pity that baby couldn't be mine. Let me give you a ride atleast."
I kept ignoring him till he rode the bike and stopped it in front of me. I was shaking with fear.
"I've been polite with you, you really don't listen huh?"
I started sweating with fear. Those dreams....my stomach was hurting, I started feeling weak as I remembered the dreams. He got down from the bike and helped me stand. Could I really trust him?

When I next opened my eyes, I found myself on a bed. Where was I? What was this room? I was probably dreaming again. Why did it feel so real? How- how did I come here? My head hurt. I really had to pee so I got down from the bed and looked around for a bathroom. I found it and quickly finished my business. I got the memories back, I had passed out, and Soobin had held onto me. Did he- did he bring me here? Was this his house...is he trying to harm my girl?
"Oh you're up!" I heard his voice again.
"Why did you bring me here?"
"Calm down, y/n. I just....missed you so-"I slapped his hands away.
"Dont play with me. Why did you bring me HERE? DONT lay your dirty hands on me, Taehyung will kill you. Where is my phone, I'll call him." I said as I started looking for my phone.
"Are you looking for this, y/n? You won't get it. Don't you understand? When I brought you home with me, I wanted to be with you. Why would I want that fucker to come and ruin this?"
"You want to hurt our girl, dont you? I wont let you, fight me! You won't be able to do any harm to her. You bastard, what do you think of yourself, dont fuck with me, I will--"
He evil laughed and said "Must say, you're hella confident for a pregnant girl. No wonder I keep coming back to you, no other girl can make me feel this way. Y/n I love--"
"LOVE? What do you know about love? Guys like you can only play around with girls and break their hearts. Did you do the same with Jennie?"
"You believe Jennie? She actually made you believe her?"
"What?" The world seemed to break down on me. She had lied to me?
"She was the one who told me about you, she was the one who wanted to take revenge on you, she was the one who wanted to harm you. And I just supported her."
Jennie? She wouldn't do this.
"You liar, she wouldn't do this. She is my friend. Don't try to turn me against--"
"You really are easily persuaded aren't you?"I heard her voice as she entered the room. I couldnt believe my eyes, I had actually trusted this girl? Taehyung was right. I felt so weak, I wish Taehyung was here with me right now. I desperately wished he could read my mind right now.
"Praying for Taehyung to save you? Wont happen girl. You're alone here, noone is gonna save you. You didnt leave Taehyung alone, when I asked you to. You had to pay for it. You are gonna die today, and so is your baby. I feel pity for the small girl, it should've been my child. What did taehung see in you anyway? What did you have that I didn't? How could you make him happy and I couldn't? Why did he forget about me on meeting you, when I was the one with him during the hardest times of his life. I cant kill him, I love him. So you're gonna have to die instead."
"Jennie, I'm sorry, but don't do this. Do you think Taehyung would come back to you if you did this? No, right? He'd never want to even see your face if you harmed me or our baby. Please don't do this."
I could see her pulling the gun out of her pocket. Did I say I was afraid of death?
"Im sorry, y/n. I dont care if he sees me the same or not. With you in his life, I can never make him look at me. Maybe without you, I've got a chance. He'll be in love with me once again. He'll accept me again, when he looses y'all. He'll need love, ill be with him."
"Youre gonna kill for love?" I heard Taehyung's voice. No, no, this shit just got real.
"Taehyung, baby, just let them go. I'll make you happy." She said closing her eyes and pulling on the trigger.
I ran to move him away but it was too late. I saw the bullet piercing his chest. He fell to the ground.
"TAEHYUNG! " I held him tight. He looked at me, blood flowing out of his mouth. "Im here love, I love you always, I love our baby a lot too. She will be born beautiful, just like you. Dont worry, ill be always there for you two." he said as he closed his eyes. Tears rolled down my eyes.
Jennie opened her eyes, confused at the voices. On seeing Taehyung, the gun fell from her hands, and she was shaking with fear.

"WHAT DID I DO?"

My eyesight got hazy as I held onto him.
