The day of the talent contest finally arrived. (Yeah I know after a long period of waiting).
We had to practice a lot for the last two days....and tbh...we gave our best. Mom says it sounds nice(our duets). I hope the judges like it too.
I got up from bed and looked at the calendar- 10th may. My phone beeped and I carried myself to the study table.
1 New message from tae.
I clicked on it.
Tae-
"Morning babygirl."
"Morning tae."
Tae-
"Nervous?"
"Ummm...yeah...a bit."
Tae-
"Hey....we've given our best,
Haven't we?"
"Of course....yeah."
Tae-
"Let's not stress anymore....
Let's just give our best today

"Bbye then....see you at 5.

"Who is the reason behind such a beautiful smile, y/n-ah?"I realised I had been smiling.
"Ohhh mom...morning."
"Morning sweetheart. Taehyung is a nice guy."

I didnt know what to tell her...I did like him.I just nodded.
"And I'm sure he likes you too."
I looked at her. How is she so sure?
"He does." She said answering my question.
"Can you hear my heart too?"
"Ofcourse I can...I'm your mom sweetie. Who else can hear it?"
"Taehyung." I said, fidgeting with my hair.
"Ahhh...can he? What a match...."
I smiled ear to ear.
"You two are dating?"
"Not yet mom. We both just confessed. I still didn't get asked out."
"It is so obvious..."
"Jinjaa?"
She nodded.
"Stop holding on your past...and live in the present. I believe taehyung makes you happy and you should move on with him. Soobin was a lesson....you needed to learn from. I can see in your eyes how much you like him.....and the same thing is there in tae's eyes too...I've seen it. I'm not saying you have to be with him...Im just saying make a wise choice...y/n ah."
I nodded and hugged her.
"Thanks for always being there."
"Aishhh...this girl. Now freshen up....I want my daughter to look beautiful enough...how about a skirt?"
We both laughed.
Skirts can do wonders.

I hurried to my bathroom...
My phone started ringing...
"Who's it, mom?" I asked.
"Kookie ". She replied.
"I'll call him back after I'm back from the washroom..."
"Be on time for breakfast though, honey." She said.
"Yeh" I replied from the bathroom.
After 15 minutes....I hurried to my phone.
"Hey.."
"Y/n-ahhh!!!"
"My ears will burst...you little bunny."
"Sowyyy... I just missed you so much."
"Aww...really?"
"Yeshhh..."
"Oh my bunny.....🐰🐰🐰🐰"
"Why am I a bunny....?"
"Because you have a bunny smile."
"I've been told that a thousand times."
I laughed.
"So...what's going on between that taehyung guy and you...? Dont lie to me....I'm your best friend if you haven't forgotten."
"Its ummm....we kinda like each other."
"Okay...wow......I already guessed that....what happened at the roof that day....you two confessed?"
"Yea-yeah."I had goosebumps on my skin thinking about that kiss.
"Just that? You two didnt kiss r8?"
"Kiss?...no!Are you mad or what?"
"You're lying....I can sense you're lying...come on now..."
"Why did you ask then?"
"Wanted to confirm."
"Duhhh!"
"Taehyung is nice guy. I bet he makes you happy and wanted."
"How do you know that?"
"We've been best friends for over seven years....you idiot....I know a lot more than you know yourself."
"True.that."
He hummed in response.
"And what about you and mina? How was the date?"
"Good enough.....we even went stargazing."
"Great....shes not pregnant r8?"
"Shut up...."
"Hey....I've gtg....mom is calling for breakfast...."
"Ohhh yeah go. See you in the evening then."
"Bbyeee...kookie."
I hung up and hurried to have my breakfast....
"Did you decide on the dress? Should I choose one for you?"
"I was thinking of wearing the red dress.....what do you think?"
"I was thinking of the same. Red looks beautiful on you..."
I smiled and continued to finish my breakfast. After finishing my breakfast....I mostly spent my day walking around and on my phone.
After lunch...I had my beauty sleep...and after I got up...I started panicking because well...it was quarter to 4 when I got up...and I had to reach school by 5.
I'm not really a big fan of using makeup...so it didnt take me much time....just the dress, eyeliner,lipstick, earrings....heels and I was ready.
"Ayee...my sweetheart looks beautiful....I'm sure taehyung will be in a daze."
I blushed,thanking her.
"Bye mom...I'll be back soon."
"Take care sweetie."
I reached school soon. The gate was beautifully decorated and the banner read:

I entered the gate. There were students all around in the school grounds. I looked around to find taehyung or jungkook or mina...but I couldnt see any of them in my sight.
"Wandering all alone sweetie?" I heard lucas' s voice.
"Cant you just get over me? I'm done with your nuisance."
"Why would I? Where else would I find such a pretty girl?"
"Y/n.....!" I heard his voice and also felt the heartbeats getting closer. I sighed in relief.
I turned to see him walking to me with heavy footsteps.
The heartbeats were profound and it made my heart beat even faster.
Jet black hair, boxy smile, black suit.......everything about him is so handsome....
I was staring...believe me you wouldve done the same if you were in my place.
"Tae!!" I said and hugged him.
"Omo..." he said hugging me back.
He broke the hug and said...."you look so beautiful...."
"Thank you... you too!"
"Ready to rock the stage?"
I nodded.
He asked me to put my arms in his. I agreed to do so and we waited for our chance.
People performed as pairs in the stage.
After much await, our names were called out.
"Taehyung and y/n."
Both of our hearts started beating fast....as we ascended the stage.
We smiled at each other before starting the performance...........................................
Our performance was greeted by a loud round of applause and cheers.
I was happy....that we had given our best.
When the event finally came to an end...it was announced that the results would be given out the next week.
They want to kill us out of suspense.
We met jungkook and mina....who performed really well...and damnn the couple goals....they gave everyone.
I looked at my watch....8 pm.
"So...I'll get going now."
"Already?"
I raised my brow.
"What already? Its late...."
"Its not that late though.....come with me."
"Where???"
"Close your eyes."
"I'll fall...I'm wearing heals you idiot. "
"You wont....hold my hand."
"But where are we going?"
"Shhhh..."
"Kay."
