Chapter 14

Just 72 hours to go...and we have the talent contest.
And see, what a mess I've done of myself.
Maybe....I should just go and cancel my name from the list.
But I really wanted to perform.....damn it!
My thoughts wandered to taehyung. I had been avoiding him since yesterday. I know very well things won't get better by ignoring him, but it atleast keeps me away from his clingy AF girlfriend.
Taehyung wanted to tell me something that day.........but I didn't even give him the chance to..I walked away from that place.
He's been calling me, texting me.
I felt I was really being rude...Why couldn't I put my stupid feelings aside for once?
Why was i doing this to him? Why was I doing this to myself? I was making it more and more obvious that him having a girlfriend mattered to me.
My phone beeped again.
"Hey, y/n...reply to my texts"
I ignored it.
I opened my instagram and was scrolling through it..when a notification popped up.
Ughhh..someone was live again.
How jobless can they be?
I gasped at the name..

She is a popular star in insta?
i clicked on it.....then my gaze went to the number of people attending the live...
Ten thousand freaking people??
I should maybe start an youtube channel..or something..I bet I could have been more famous than this crazy girl.
I shrugged off the thought within 2 seconds.
I gasped a second time seeing her pictures in insta.
I mean she's gorgeous and rich AF.
GUCCHI WRITTEN ALL OVER HER.
I kept scrolling down her insta.
One particular picture attracted me....she was holding hands with a guy.
Thinking it to be taehyung at first, I ignored it.
But then the guy didn't seem to be taehyung
So I looked again.....
Soobin??????
Why were jennie and soobin holding hands?
Were they friends....?
As i scrolled further down, I found pictures of them at an amusement park, a beach and even at a restaurant, clinging to each other.
So this girl is clingy by nature.
Then my gaze went towards the caption of a post.
"With my darling, on our first anniversary..i'm so lucky to have you in my life..babe."
Wait,what?
Anniversary....? They're dating??
What the actual frickety frack is this?
So she's dating soobin? Or Taehyung?
Ughh..such a complicated life she has.
I quickly went to the contacts in my phone.
I called taehyung and waited for him to pick up the phone.
"Y/n......."I heard his voice.
That adorable yet deep voice..I've  been missing it much more than I thought.
y/n....focus.
"You've not been answering my calls, even my texts..you're not replying to them....and you're  avoiding me since that day.....did I do something wrong? I just wanted to speak to you..."
I could feel how hurt he was through his deep breaths.
"I'm sorry....tae....I really am. Just listen to me this once....and I promise I'll listen to what you have to say too..."
"Deal then.....what is it, y/n? Is it Soobin? Is he bothering you again...?"
"Ummm..it's kinda complicated. It's about Soobin and Jennie..."
"Soobin and Jennie?? Did I hear that right?"
"YUP.....I know I shouldn't interfere in your love life...But can you tell me since when are you two dating....?"
I could hear him sighing over the phone....
"We started dating three years ago....we barely lasted a year. She had to transfer because of her father's job. I was sad that she had to go away but  then I realised I didn't love her that much.....so it wasn't difficult to move on...And now she's back again....."
Why are you even dating her then? I wanted to ask....
My heart did a flip on hearing that he didn't love her.
So I could have a chance.
I almost blushed.
"Y/n...you there?"
"UHHHH...yeahhh...As I was saying......you're sure about the transfer part?"
"Atleast..that's what she told me."
"You are in instagram, I assume?"
"Yeah..why though...?"
"Stop asking questions...that's not in the deal..we just listen to each other..."
He just hummed in response.
"k...so search this account JENNIEKIM...tell me when you find it... "
"OHOOOO.....a proffessional stalker..I see"
"I think I made it clear...no questions..no assertments....Just do it for god's sake...."
"I found it...now do we scroll down her account?"
"Yup......do that!"
Silence....for 10 seconds...
20 seconds...
"Wait...why are Soobin and Jennie holding hands.....?"
"There you go......I'm proud of you babe....now do me a favour...read the caption of the picture of them in that beach"
"One year anniversary??"
"That's right sweetie..you're doing good..."
"So all this time, when she was away she was dating Soobin??"
"Seems so.."
"ewww..that's so disgusting...I'm happy though that i got a reason to break up with her....thank you y/n.."
"wait...you're happy? Isn't she your girlfriend?"
"Who cares....? She's not my love."

"Nothing, babygirl"he said in the deepest voice ever.
My heart skipped two beats at that single word.

My stomach was doing backflips already.
"You know......I was listening to this song.....I like me better by lauv... And all i could think about was you....it was making me smile like a lunatic."
"hahaa...really?"
"Yeah....listen to the song."

He giggled.
"Y/n..?"
"yeah?"
"I miss you......."
I froze at those words.
I couldn't speak...
"Don't ever ignore me like that....you get that min y/n?"
I just hummed in response.
"Good night babygirl"
"Good night tae."
As I hung up, I clutched my heart before.....
...It would burst cause of how good I was feeling rn...
