In another fifteen minutes, we reached my house. I walked in front, taehyung followed.
"You live in this neighborhood...?"
"Yeah....."I answered. " why?"
"Nothing..."
"Come on...now spill the beans."
"Jennie lives here."
"Ohhhh.."
I chose not to talk about her any more. She knows the way to get into my nerves and I hate her for that.
"This is my house... come on in."
"Wow....its beautiful."
I smiled at him.
I was gonna press the doorbell when I felt a grip on my hand.
"Your mom knows I'm dropping by?"
"No, but dont worry, she is very friendly and welcomes my friends any time they drop by."
"We're friends?"he asked.
"No...but we can pretend as friends...."
Taehyung smiled and did I say how cute his smile is? His eyes closed and his lips shaped like a box....omg why do I feel like I'm fangirling on someone...uhhhh, never mind.
"Sure, babygirl."
"Can you drop that name for today? Atleast in front of my mother?"
"Why? Babygirl doesnt seem like a friendly nickname?"
"Nope....."
He smiled and nodded.
"And one more thing..."
"For lords sake...you dont have to impress anyone in this house so just be yourself...."
"Haha...kay."
Before I could ring the bell, I heard my mothers voice from afar.
"Y/n, is that you darling?"
I looked towards the voice and saw her coming towards our house with some grocery.
Before I could go to her to help her, taehyung ran towards her.
"Let me help you with that, mrs. min."
"Ohhh, thank you dear. You're friend of hers? "
Taehyung looked at me, gulped and nodded.
"Yes maam. I'm Kim taehyung."
"Ahhh taehyung, such a handsome boy. You two really are just friends?"
"Mom....not again."
"I thought you wore that skirt for some reason. Duhhh! What use is the skirt if you dont even have a boyfriend?"
I rolled my eyes and taehyung tried to hide a laugh.
"What say, taehyung dear?"
"I totally agree with you maam."
"What a great boy! Why didn't you introduce him to me before?"
"Hahaaa....I should've.... anyways, wheres the key, mom?"
"Here...."
I took the keys from my mom and opened the door.
Taehyung helped carry her the stuff to the kitchen.
"You guys get freshened up. I'll bring some snacks to your room soon."
"Yeah." We answered in unison.
"See, you guys even answer together."
I laughed.
"We'll be in my room then."
"Yeah, and taehyung dear tell me if you want something....or you can even ask y/n....wait, I'll bring you a glass of water, you must be tired, isnt it?"
"Yes maam, thank you."
She pat his back and left to bring a glass of water.
"Your mom is so freaking cool...I totally love her."
I laughed.
"And shes so beautiful even at this age, no wonder youre beautiful.....you take after her."
"Thanks, now have your glass of water and come upstairs. My room is to the left. Dont get lost though."
"Yeah, ofcourse I'm a small kid and I'll get lost in your big house."
"I'll be waiting then."
"Yeah, miss me a lot."
"You're literally in my house, dude."
"Dont dudezone me."
"My house, my rules."
"Actually i'm really thirsty....."
"LOL!"I said and hurried to my room.
After freshening myself up....as I came out of my bathroom taehyung was already sitting on my bed and observing my room.
I smiled and went towards him.
"So...you didnt get lost...that's great."
"Ikr?"
"Lol...let's start with the practice."
"Yeah..."
I went to the other side of my bed and took out my guitar from the rack.
"Wow....you can play a guitar too? You're cool, y/n..."
"Haha...kumao."( kumao- thanks)
"Did you decide the songs too?"
"Yup..... I decided on two... nobody wants to be lonely and rewrite the stars."
"Wow....I love both of them.....they're my personal favourites."
"That's great then...you okay with the songs?"
"Yayyyy...I'm so excited."
There was a knock on the door.
"Having fun darlings..... you two are performing together for the talent contest?"
"Yeah, mom"
"That's great. Rock the stage together, yeah?"
"Thanks mom." I said and she smiled.
Always trying to cheer me up in whatever way possible....
"So...I'll be downstairs....call me if you want anything....."
"Sure maam."
She nodded with a smile and closed the door before going away.
"Help yourself....my mom cooks really good food."
"Yeah...ofcourse I'm starving."
"Lol...really? Eat it all...then. "
"You wont eat anything?"
"I'm a potatoe anyways....gotta cut down on eating a bit."
"Who the heck said that? You've a beautiful body...and you're perfect the way you are....atleast to me...you always were."
Always were?
"Um...what?"
The colour left his cheeks.
"I mean to say....ummm nothing let's start with the song...we dont have much time do we?"
"Ohhkay."
Time flew really fast... and before I could realise it was already 8 p.m.
His phone rung.
"Excuse-"
"Go on, take it." I said.
"Hello? Yeah, mom. I'm at a friends house..yeah mom I'm fine. Dont worry, I'll be back soon. Yeah , okay, bye mom. Take care. Yeah."
"Shes worried about you....I guess you should go home now. It's already 8 anyways."
"You really want me to go away?"
"Ofcourse not. I mean- "
A smirk had formed on his lips.
"Not...huh?"
Stop being so obvious....min y/n.
"What's with the smirk?"
"Its just...I want to do something."
"Do what?"
He stared at me then to my lips and then back to my eyes.
I rolled my eyes.
"Let me guess.....you want to kiss me?"
Taehyung smiled.
"Do it then....what are you thinking about?"I said looking away.
Taehyung' s eyes went wide...
"You're okay?"
"Yeah...why?"
"Just asking....."
"So.....? Where's the kiss?"
He got closer to me and pecked my lips.
"You'll be able to go down alone...r8?"
"Of course...yeah. "
"Good...then bye...see you tomorrow."
He nodded and got up from the bed. Just when he was gonna leave the room...he stopped beside a photo. I followed his gaze....it was a photo of my sister who had died 3 years ago.
"This is your sister?"
I just nodded.
"I'm so sorry....."
"Its fine.....I've gotten over it to be honest, but I still miss her so much....she was my everything, my best friend, my sister,my crime partner..."
My eyelids were becoming heavy.
"Hey, dont be sad...I'm sure she loves you wherever she is. She wouldnt like to see her sister cry for her, would she?"he said hugging me.
I melted in his warm embrace.
"I miss her..."
"I know you do...did something bad happen?"
"Yeah...I'll tell you one day." I said breaking the hug.
"Will be waiting." He said smiling.
"Bye, see you at school then."
"Yeah, bye."
I said and faked a smile as my heart was getting heavy at the thought of my sister.
It was so painful...the sight of her death.... it still haunts me.
