~time skip from last chapter~

I moved swiftly through the bush trying to make as little noise as possible. It was close to midday when Lee, Marcus and I left the farm house. No one really told me what was happening or why we were out here so I just had to roll with it.

I bumped into Marcus's side. He had stopped behind his father. If I had been paying attention I would've heard the gushing sound of fresh water, but of course I didn't. I stood in complete awe. The water, the rocks, even the addition of moss. It was all beautiful compared to all the lifeless trees you see now days. I stood upon the edge of the small river, looking down at the fish. I felt the earth slightly move below my feet so I decided to step back before I fell in. Marcus and I watched as his father splashed around the water, herding the fish into the trap. When he had caught enough for dinner he slowly trudged through the clear liquid towards us.

"Do you two want to try to catch some?" Lee signed

"We have enough already." I signed back. Marcus quickly nodded his head in agreement since he didn't want to get wet either. I never liked being around large spaces of water. It was a constant reminder of the past. Whenever I was around lakes or rivers it would feel as if the past was dragging me down to replay itself over and over again.

~ flash back ~

My body felt weak as I tried to catch any air I could before I was forced back into the ice cold water. I scratched at the figures that were holding me below the surface, but it was no use. They were much stronger than me. Black dots crept from the corners of my eyes. I felt the force from my neck being lifted as I fell into the depths of a dream.

~ end of flash back ~

I watched as Lee pulled Marcus to a ledge under the water fall. Lee suddenly opened his mouth and let a huge yell escape his throat.

In horror, I dropped to my knees and lowered myself below the tall grass. I don't know what Lee was thinking but I didn't like it. A second yell joined the first and after a while... Nothing happened. I stared in shock at Marcus. He just held the biggest smile ever and signed to me.

"They can't hear us over a sound that's louder."

He seemed super exited, practically jumping up and down.

It was getting dark. The three of us decided to head back home. Marcus and I were having a silent conversation when we ran into Lee's back. He was paused, shaking almost.

An elderly man was standing still. His face red from crying. Presumably from the woman that was ripped open across the front porch...
Lee brought his fingers to his lips. Staring the old man dead in the eyes, but it didn't work.

The man bellowed in agony.

Without hesitation, Lee picked the both of us up and ran as far as he could without making much sound. I watched as the Death Angel came into view. It almost seemed slow motion until it clawed the man to shreds...

There it is again, that burning feeling in my palms...

AU- I'm so sorry for not updating. I just can't find the motivation to continue. But I will don't worry. I think I will start making chapters a bit shorter because it's hard to write 1 thousands words for each chapter. I hope that's okay.
