I had to get a covid Test. It hurt so much they shoved the swab so far down my throat.

Marcus POV

My chest felt heavy as I watch [y/n] command the Death Angel around as if it were nothing but a merely pawn. With one single word that came from her mouth, it ran into the distance, not even willing to look back. I couldn't find the words to describe how I was feeling towards [y/n] at this point. I mean, I've always felt unsure about what I feel whenever I'm around her but, she's just so.. I don't know. BUT THE WAY SHE GAVE COMMANDS WAS JUST -- it was attractive.

" Marcus, we need to go find Evelyn." [y/n] said in a calmed tone. She clearly sounded tired.

I watched as [y/n] held her hand out to me, offering to help me to my feet. I took it and stood.

"Hey-" she let out a nervous laugh before continuing "-can you help me walk please, I think I pinched a nerve in my calf." [y/n] commented, limping a little.

I smiled, grateful that she had the courage to ask me. I wrapped my arm around her waist and started walking at a slow pace to the house.

y/n POV

As soon as my body passed the entrance of the house, the still air began to flow with every small movement. Cold mist flew into my face as if I were on a rollercoaster. The darkness still consumed the sky as it were only early.

"Where are Evelyn and Regan?" I thought, limping around the house.

The sudden sound of a blast rang throughout the building, making me jump out of my skin. Marcus's hand became tighter around my waist as the echo faded. -- it felt like a ghost house in here -- As we approached the basement door, I poked my head around the corner and fixated my eyes on the room, studying every little thing. ( You're probably thinking I'm stupid, but if you lived in this world, you would understand. ) I gave a quick sign to Lee, telling him it seemed safe. Marcus and I stepped back, allowing Lee to go first. His movements were ever so careful as he walked down the stairs, successfully missing the annoying nail that stuck out.

Silence, once again. Silence made everything seem worse than what it was. The tension, the continuous ringing in your ears, it really stresses me out in situations like these.

I peaked down the stairs to see something tackle Lee to the ground. Fear overwhelmed my body once again as I stumble down after him, completely forgetting about the nail. My foot just missed it as I look at where Lee lay. Marcus ran in after me, bumping into my side. I sigh, frustrated but happy.

"You gave me a heart attack. " I signed, trying to show hints of anger in my facial expressions.

On the ground, lay Regan with her arms wrapped tightly around Lee.

"I'm sorry [y/n]" Regan signed, trying not to laugh.

Evelyn approached Marcus, a baby sleeping peacefully in her arms. His face immediately lit up with pure joy when he saw his brother. He folded his arms in a cradle shape as Evelyn placed Baby Abbott into Marcus's arms. I walked over to Marcus, skipping over the dead Death Angel and hugging Evelyn. She seemed a bit surprised at first but quickly secured the hug. I looked back at Marcus to see him making funny faces to his brother -- it was actually, really cute -- the baby's eyes widened and fits of giggles escaped from it's tiny mouth. Evelyn wipped her head in Lee's direction, the sudden sound freaking her out for she didn't know about what I could do.

"No no, it's fine. We can talk, just not all the time." I said, putting my hands out Infront of me in hopes of calming her down.

She still seemed quite pale, I mean it doesn't help that she just forced a bowling bowl out her uterus. I sat Evelyn down and started explaining what had happened with Lee, Marcus, I and the Death Angel.

The morning sun peeked over the hilltops. Small droplets of water fell from leaf to leaf as the temperature slowly rose. Everyone was quite tired, no-one had slept a wink since last night. Well, no-one other than the baby of course. Privileged little bastard. We thought it was best if we packed what we need and search for somewhere safer to stay. -- Especially now that we have a siren traveling with us -- I'm still trying to work out my whole command thing but I'm taking bits and pieces from my dream. So far, they're all adding up.

"What are you thinking about." Marcus asked, sitting down next to me. I jumped a little, still on edge from last night I guess.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

"No Marcus, it's okay."

"So?" He asked, his voice as soothing as ever.

"I want to know why I'm the only one that can do what I do." I said, ruffling the dirt with my feet.

"Well, do you wanna know what I think?" He asked, making me giggle a bit.

"What do you think?"

"I think you're a Queen." He paused for a second, lifting my head with his hand.

"I mean, you always were in my opinion." He added.

I blushed a deep red, I really didn't know what to say. Marcus then grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips, planting a soft kiss on the surface.

"Milady." He grinned before walking away.

I cannot believe that boy. How could he leave me sitting he, blushing like a total idiot!! I have to admit though, it was rather fine of him. I mean, he is super cute- WHAT AM I SAYING?!
