"Stella! Stella, wake up! We're going to be late!" I called, but after a few more unsuccessful attempts, I sighed in defeat and decided to get ready on my own.

"[Name]!" Stella screeched as I walked out of the bathroom. "We're going to miss breakfast! Why didn't you wake me up?"

"Trust me, Stel, I tried," I deadpanned, and luckily, with Stella speedrunning her routine, we made it to breakfast just in time.

And that pretty much sums up how my first morning at Alfea went.

"It's your first class of the year... I'm Professor Wizgiz, and I teach metamorphosis!" He introduced, a twinkle in his eye. "Metamorphosis is the art of changing how you look! And once you master it, you can transform into anything. For example..." Professor Wizgiz snapped his fingers and, in the blink of an eye, turned into Miss Griselda. My eyes widened in amazement. "Don't worry, I'm not the queen of detention," he said, his voice now a perfect imitation of Griselda's. "The beauty of magic is that you can always turn back!" With another snap, he reverted to his usual self. "But we'll start with something simple." He snapped again, and mirrors appeared on our desks. "Let's begin with the easiest exercise—changing your hair color! Just focus your Winx and try to change."

I picked up the mirror on my desk and glanced around. Many of my classmates had already changed their hair color. Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and focused. Imagining my hair turning purple, I concentrated my Winx and, when I opened my eyes, I saw that my hair had shifted to a light purple shade. A proud smile spread across my face. My gaze shifted to Bloom, who was struggling to change her hair color.

Professor Wizgiz didn't miss a beat. He jumped onto Bloom's desk.

"It's a little early to be falling behind, Bloom. You've got some homework to do," he said, and I couldn't help but feel a little bad for her. This was all new to her, after all, and she was already at a disadvantage.

After class, we moved on to our other subjects, and surprisingly, I did rather well in those as well. When classes were over, we all returned to our dorms to relax, but of course, Bloom needed help with her homework. So, there I was, sitting on Bloom's bed in the room she shared with Flora, trying to help her understand it all, with Stella and Flora offering their support because, well, Bloom was a handful.

Bloom decided to rage quit after a few unsuccessful attempts. I didn't know she could get discouraged so quickly.

"I was the only one who couldn't do it..." she sighed, a hint of defeat in her voice.

"You just need to practice, Bloom. Practice makes perfect," I said, ruffling her hair as she pouted. "Besides, you gave up after three tries. Mastery takes time."
