I wasn't amused. Not one bit.

After all, here we were, lost in the middle of a forest, and I was still running low on magic energy. I couldn't even transform. My patience was wearing thin as I stood, waiting for Adan to fix the bike. The situation wasn't improving.

It didn't help that we had lost Sky and Bloom. On top of that, I couldn't shake the gnawing worry about my friends back at Alfea, fighting monsters while we were stuck here.

"Well?" I snapped, my voice tense with impatience. "How's it looking?"

Adan exhaled a heavy sigh, one that seemed to carry the weight of a hundred frustrations. "I can't get the power converter to fribulate."

I blinked in confusion. "What does that mean?"

He shot me a dry look. "The bike's busted."

I groaned in frustration, a feeling of helplessness rising in my chest. "Maybe I can use a little magic?"

"Don't," he immediately retorted, his tone sharp. "You're already running low. Let's just start walking before it gets dark."

I nodded begrudgingly, already feeling the strain in my legs. As we started walking, I couldn't help but ask, "Fribulate? Is that even a word?"

He gave a half-smirk, though there was little humor in it. "It is now."

We continued in silence, the weight of the situation settling in. The dense forest around us seemed endless, the shadows deepening with the setting sun. My thoughts kept drifting to my missing friends. The nagging fear gnawed at me, an ache in my chest.

"It would be much quicker if we went through Black Mud Swamp," I suggested, having been through it enough times for Flora and school projects that I knew it could serve as a shortcut.

Adan considered it for a moment, his brow furrowing. "Do you know the way to Alfea from there?"

I nodded, though it was less confident than I would've liked. My eyes darted around, the growing darkness making everything feel more uncertain. "Yeah, but I still don't like this... I just hope Bloom and Sky are alright."

Adan's hand landed gently on my head, and I looked up to see a small smile on his face. It was enough to make me feel a little better. "They'll be fine."

I placed my hand over his, squeezing it lightly before pulling it away, my heart heavy with the weight of our situation. "I hope so."

We walked on for what felt like an eternity, my legs aching, my breath growing ragged. The light was fading, the forest becoming more disorienting with each step.

Finally, Adan broke the silence. "Let's camp here for the night."

I nodded, barely able to keep my balance. "Agreed."
