"Bloom, what is going on?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion. My friends wore the same bewildered expressions, their faces mirroring my own sense of uncertainty.
I was confused, and confusion was always an annoying feeling. But somehow, it sparked a longing—one that urged me to search for the answers I didn't have. Because in the end, the only way to dispel confusion was to find those answers. But sometimes, you don't get the answers you want, and all that's left is that gnawing frustration, that wave of annoyance that seems to settle in your chest.
"Let's wait for Stella," Bloom said with a sigh, but there was something off in her voice. I narrowed my eyes at her, sensing that troubled look on her face—the kind of look that made me feel like she was hiding something.
"From my calculations, she always seems to be about 14.5 minutes late, meaning she's about to arrive..." Tecna trailed off, her gaze fixed on the horizon as Stella sprinted up to us. "Now."
"I'm here!" Stella panted, wiping sweat from her forehead. "Sorry, I lost track of time. I was color-coordinating my notebooks with my pens, which, as you know, makes outfit management much easier."
"Stella," Tecna sighed, her patience thinning. "Bloom has something significant to tell us."
Bloom's gaze dropped to the ground, her shoulders slumping slightly, as if she was carrying the weight of something heavy. She hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I called you guys here to apologize for what happened at Red Fountain yesterday."
"Everybody makes mistakes," I shrugged, flashing her a small smile. "It's natural, so don't worry about it."
"But I got you guys into serious trouble," Bloom argued, her eyes finally meeting mine. There was guilt there, a deep regret that made my heart tighten. "Maybe it's best if I move out of the dorm."
The silence that followed was almost deafening, broken only by the distant chatter of students outside the courtyard. My heart skipped a beat, a pang of shock hitting me. I had thought Bloom loved it here, that she'd found a place where she truly belonged, and now... she wanted to leave? My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"No way!" Stella was the first to protest, her voice strong and immediate. We were all too stunned to speak, still reeling from Bloom's words. "You have no idea how much we would miss you! I've gotten into trouble so many times, and you've always been there for me. Don't even think about leaving—you're staying here, no question about it."
"Yeah," Flora chimed in, finally speaking up. "We're all in this together. That's what friends are for."
"She's right, Bloom," Musa added, her usual upbeat tone firm but kind. "All for one and one for all, that's how we roll."
