Andy's POV

It's been about a week since Roberts told me everything. His leg, the promotion, the surgery. I'm just glad he's okay. No one knows about us and no one can we both risk losing our jobs I think Maya will get suspicious about me if I don't start staying over there and hanging out with the crew on our day off. We can't risk people knowing. Now that Roberts battalion chief we're going to have to tell the chief about Roberts leg so he can have the surgery. It's only gone numb 3 times as far as I know. Crap it's 6:50 he's gonna be late if I don't wake him.

Andy has the day off and she decides she's gonna spend it with Ryan who came back from San Diego today just to hang out with her. So Andy wakes Robert up and made him breakfast as much as he wanted to spend the day with her he couldn't. she kissed him bye and he left for work. She decided to go to Maya's house get more clothes since she was gonna stay at Sullivan's again tonight when she was about to leave the house she Ryan knocked at the door. "PD. Open up!" They we're talking until they heard screaming next door. Andy's neighbor Ruby cut her self with some dishes so Ryan called Andy's dad while Andy put pressure on the wound. Soon Andy's Dad arrived took Ruby and Andy offered to stay at her house to watch her kids Ryan offered to help. "Weren't you in San Diego what're you doing here?" Pruitt asked. "Thought I stop by in Seattle visit Andy and some of my buddy's down at the station." Pruitt left to take Ruby to Grey Sloan. Ryan told Andy about the program and how well it was going and all the cool stuff he was learning and doing there. "How are things here anything changed." "No not really. Sullivan's battalion Chief now." "Oh cool, so who's captain of 19." "He hasn't picked yet." "It's gonna be you, no brainer." "Why do say that." "Andy if any body earned captain it's you." "Me and Sullivan started dating like a week ago and it's new and exciting." "Do you love him?" "Yea, Ry I do." "I knew something happened when I saw you guys at the hospital." "Let's just finish cleaning up." It got dark when they finally finished cleaning Ryan played with the kids and he went to go use the bathroom so Ryan came to the front room and say down. "So why are you really back? What happened in San Diego?" "Jenna cheated on me." "Ouch how'd you fine out?" "She told me." "She told you?" "She said she wanted to hurt me." Back at the station

Travis who is on desk duty says "Captain Herrera is in the Beanery and says he needs to talk to you should I send him to your office." "Yes thanks Montgomery." Pruitt sits down and Robert goes, "What can I do for you today Captain Herrera?" "Congratulations on your promotion." He says as he shuts the blinds. "Yes I am, do you have a recommendation." "I know you want to make Andy captain and I'm asking that you don't." "You don't want her to be captain?" "I do. Someday. I want her to have your job someday. I want her to be fire chief someday.and none of that'll happen if you promote her now. Her year it's only gonna get worse." "Andy deserves captain she's earned it." "She has one shot at this and I promise if you give it to her now she'll blow it." "She'll never forgive me." "Probably not. You'll be helping her career in the long run. Robert, I'm dying and if my death is gonna hit Andy as hard as it hit her when her mom died she'll blow her chance. Please, not now."
