Final Days

Roberts POV
9am

Today's the day. Dr. Grey said if not today she might be brain dead. I've been thinking and gunshot wounds don't put you in comas maybe she knows Ryan's dead and maybe she's afraid to wake up because if she wakes up she has to face the music.
The teams coming by later one during the day with  Captain Herrera he's going to let me know when the teams here so I can leave and re-enter. But to be honest I don't care if they find out about us anymore. 

"I think he should start to say his goodbyes." Helm said. "Helm! Regardless of what you think you don't say that so near the door keep your comments to yourself or don't say anything at all." Dr.Deluca  "let's keep it moving don't you all have rounds to do." Bailey said shutting the door. "I just feel like there should be more we can do." Dr. Grey said "Yeah, me too." Bailey said. "I think it might be neuro. Can you page Neuro for me." A couple mins later "Amelia! I have a patient gsw to the stomach she's been in asleep for about 6 days." "She should've been awake by now it's definitely Neuro." Hi I'm Dr. Shepherd I'm taking over your wife's case. Have you noticed anything when she's sleeping?" "Well she coded the other day but besides that I can't think of anything." "Edwards take her up to get a CT." The CT reavealed that it's nothing Neuro. "Was there anything else in her besides the bullet?" "No we checked the bowel and everything." "Take her up to the hydraulic chamber." It was now 3 pm she was still in the chamber it's supposed to help sooth the brain.

*phone rings*  "hello?" "Robert, it's me Pruitt. How's Andy?" "They took her up to this chamber to sooth her brain they thought it was neruo but turns out it wasn't." "I've decided I'm going to tell her a little bit after she wakes up. She deserves to know." A little be later they hung up when Robert got a text "Hey chief I know you're picking Captain of 19 and I'd like to apply. Maya said. "I just made you Lieutenant why would I mane you captain." Robert answered. "I think I'm the best candidate for the job unlike jack and Andy who put there personal lives before work. Just think about it sir." Robert sighed he wanted to make Andy captain but the words of Captain Herrera kept coming up as he was emailing the chief. "Her years only going to get much worse Robert, please." Like it or not he had to make Bishop captain so he emailed chief Dixon wanted to promote Lieutenant Bishop to Captain of station 19.

By 6pm they brung Andy back into the room the team had just arrived along with Captain Herrera. "Andy you know my motto fight through it you got it Andy you're almost at that Finnish line." Maya said. "Andy you're a fighter I know you can fight this." Jack said. "You got this Andy dont give up now not when you're this close." Vic said. The team left so Captain Herrera could say what he needed to say "Andrea I love you and I'm sorry, I'm hoping you wake up because I need you Andy." Then he left leaving  Robert "Andy, you might already know this but when you and Ryan got shot, Ryan died. And we need you to wake up it might be scary but you have me, your dad, and the team. The funerals tomorrow and I know you'll beat yourself up if you missed it. I love you Andy so just, fight it." After he finished talking the team came back in and Maya was sharing stories about Andy in the academy. Jack and Dean started to share some stories to cheer everyone up and then the room fell silent. No one knew what to say and then Vic started to sob really loud, "I'm sorry, I don't think this worked." "Remember Vic there is a light under all the dark." Dean reminded her. "I can't find it Dean, I just can't." She walked out and Dean followed. Soon Dr. Grey came in and open her up where they had did the surgery it looked infected maybe that was the problem. So they took her and uninflected the area soon enough they went into the waiting room and told the team. "Looks like the wound got infected because it wasn't properly dressed if Helm was more focused on learning then our patient dying maybe she would've caught that." Dr. Webber said, " She should be waking up soon."

With that Robert went home he knew he had to take a shower, eat, change his clothes, and bring Andy something to wear to get her out of the hospital. When he came back he asked if he missed it but he got there just in time. They were all smiling and laughing just happy to see her awake. "I'll go get Dr. Grey." Ben said Dr. Grey came in checked her out they ran some test she was fine since they opened her back up she still has to stay away for a month but other than that she's fine. Captain Herrera asked if she can leave tomorrow because she had a funeral to go to. Meredith said it was fine for her to go she can get discharged the day after or the night. Dr. Grey told Robert that turns out she could hear everything we said. So when she came back in Dean went and brought back some of his spaghetti he had made for dinner everyone had some and soon visiting hours ended so they all went home. Before Captain Herrera left he asked, "So you know about Ryan?" "Yeah." "The funerals tomorrow Dr. grey said you can come we'd just have to bring you back right after. I'm sorry mija." "It's fine." Robert had walked in as Pruitt walked out.
