She begins to walk back to me looking at me curiously, but also with a small hint of doubt.

"Maybe you could make a wish?", I blurt out, both excited at my own idea but also a bit torn. Wouldn't it be easier to just reject her in front of the Wolf in the Moon and not be bound to her? That thought however makes me unbelievably nauseous and compels me to throw all ration thoughts away, and just act on my feelings. It couldn't be just some wild coincidence, that I happen to have a mate bond with this wolf right? Maybe it would be wrong to reject it. And besides, what is wrong with these feelings? They are only positive right?

She is still standing by the edge of the hill looking a bit worried. I repeat myself with a bit more conviction. "You could make a wish."

"What exactly would I wish for?", she asks, sounding almost defeated. "And how would I even go about it, when I can't turn human?". She looks sad and I can feel her courage disappearing. She must really want this to work out since she is so reluctant to let her hopes go up.

"I'm sure that he can sense your intention, even if you can't speak out loud.". I try my best to comfort her and sound excited. She still looks worried, so I continue: "And just ask him for a chance for us to be together.". I pause and reevaluate what I said. I'm not even sure if I even want to be together with her just yet. This is all so strange. I rephrase: "Maybe ask him to split you and your sister into two different bodies?". She looks up at me with hope flowing out of her. It sends a calming draft through my body, and before she gets to change her mind, I nod with my head as a signal for her to go over to the stone. What a great idea, this would benefit both of them, right? I'm sure it's not nice to be forced to be inside a body with someone else.

She walks hesitantly closer to the stone that's standing tall above her. She looks back at me, and I smile for her to go on. She reaches the stone, sits down, and puts one of her big paw pads upon the stone. She closes her eyes and seems to think hard. Before long, her eyes shoot open but her iris' are not visible, only the whites of her eyes. She falls back violently with a howl and whimper and starts to convulse. Once again, she is lying in agony and there is nothing I can do. I just wish for her suffering to end quickly and with no fatal outcome. I hear myself beginning to whimper along with her. Yeah, this must definitely be the mate bond, because usually, I don't really care that much about others. I want to comfort her, but I have no idea what to do, but before long, her body stops jerking, and she lies completely still.

I approach her and kneel beside her. I lay a hand on her side, checking if she is still breathing. Her ribcage starts to rise under my hand, but I soon realize, that she isn't just taking a deep breath. It's almost like something is manifesting underneath her, causing her entire body to rise. I swing my hands around each side of her and try to lift her away to figure out what's going on. Underneath her, I see something quite pale and wonder what it could be. As I pull her further away, I notice that it is skin. I manage to drag Hera's now unconscious body up and gently put her down to the side. I see to my big surprise, that it is Athena who is lying, also just barely breathing, on the ground, and still with the wound on her stomach, and although it's significantly more healed than before it still looks serious.

I feel the panic rise in me, trying to figure out who I should help first. My body screams for me to check on Hera and make sure she is all right, while my brain tells me to check on Athena, as she is clearly in a more critical condition. Before I get to decide, however, Athena flies up and sits confused on the ground glaring around her. I think the pain only hit her a moment later, as she soon start to groan and grab her stomach. She is still naked, but I actually don't really feel any way about that anymore. I am more concerned with Hera. I look back at Hera, and I can see her eyes flickering underneath her eyelids as she tries to gain consciousness. I know that Hera must have had her wish granted, but I am still kind of in shock, at how violent it looked.

Athena looks over at me confused, even through the pain. She groans and says strained: "Kai? What?... What is...". She doesn't finish before I just shake my head in confusion. Mostly because I don't know how to explain it, but also because I don't want to do so before I check on Hera.

"Athena, you are still hurt. Lie down, for your own sake.". She obeys my command, so I walk over to Hera.

"Hera, hey, listen to me. You need to open your eyes.". I hear Athena from behind me groaning, so I look back at her and see that she is trying to move closer to us.

"Hera? What do you mean?". She doesn't get to talk any further before her eyes fall on her sister, who was partially blocked out of her eyesight before by me.

"Is that... Hera?". She looks concerned as her eyes fly between her sister and me, and I can only nod in response. Athena manages to pull herself all the way over to Hera and she puts her head down on the side of Hera's body. With her hands, she is slowly caressing her while she mumbles into the thick red and shiny fur.

I am moved by her dedication to care for her sister even though she herself is injured and probably confused beyond comprehension. But a part of me also fumes with jealousy and anger, that I am not the one closest to Hera. I block out those thoughts to the best of my ability as Athena looks up at me with tears in her eyes.

"What happened? Will she be okay?". I can hear the clump in her throat and feel bad for bringing them up here, but then again if I hadn't, they would probably have died, both of them. I put my arms around myself to prevent my body from making any involuntary moves.

"She should be okay. I don't exactly know what she wished for, however...", I barely get the words out of my mouth.

"Wished for? What are you talking about?". I can clearly hear that Athena is the more mature and cool-minded of the two. She must be the one with the greatest responsibility and the one who acts as a guardian for them both. I do however have a feeling that Hera might be the one to be scolded the most, or the one taking the most beatings. It would make sense with this dynamic when you take into account which body, they each control.

I only get to mumble, that it's hard to explain before she is back to looking at her sister, trying to wake her up while letting her fingers roam through her fur. Athena let out a small, suppressed scream and her hand flies down to hold her stomach as she must have contorted her body in a way she wasn't supposed to. I remember her wounds and come up with the only solution I apparently have; to wish the Wolf in the Moon for healing.

I look over at the stone but realize it's too late. The moon has already moved from the position right above the stone, and all the gemstones are now faded in color. It must be close to 1 am now. I sigh in frustration, still not knowing what the hell to do.

Athena sits by her sister and shakes. Even though I can feel the cold and crispy air against my body as well, I am not really cold, and certainly not as cold as Athena appears to be. Her teeth clack against each other, and she wraps herself in her arms, trying to prevent the heat from leaving her body. I look at her confused; werewolves are not capable of freezing like that. As if she had read my mind, she looks up in confusion at me and says to the best of her ability through her teeth; "How come I freeze like this? This isn't normal. And you need to explain now, why is Hera lying here in front of me, instead of being fused with me?".

I wish I could answer all of her questions, but the only thing we can do right now is wait for Hera to wake up and explain to us what happened.
