Solomon had gotten used to being in his servant form around the others. After three weeks of searching for the singularity, he believed he was getting close.
The king of mages smiled to himself as he sipped his coffee when he felt a pair of arms wrap around him.
Solomon: "Makeda. I thought you were asleep."
Makeda: "I wanna talk to you. It's about-"
Solomon: "My noble phantasm, yes? I know. The Ars Nova will likely destroy me entirely."
Makeda: "Surely there's a better way to do this? We have a magician with the backing of three gods on our side!"
Solomon: "Indeed. However I do not wish to put Y/n in unnecessary danger, even if he can handle Goetia by himself.
Makeda: "But by using Ars Nova, you'll remove yourself from the throne of heroes!"
Solomon: "I know. That is the only way I can ensure that Goetia can never return and try again."
Makeda's ears dropped before a slight laugh emanated from Solomon. She looked up in time to feel his hand petting her head.
Solomon: "It will destroy me, yes. But it's the only way I can think to do this. If Y/n were to try and use Ars Nova, there's no telling how it would damage his psyche."
Makeda: "... Last resort."
Solomon: "Hm?"
Makeda: "Promise me you'll only use it as a last resort!"
Solomon's smile faded for a few seconds before returning just as warmly as it was before.
Solomon: "You have my word."
Makeda smiled before leaning her head on the kings shoulder. The door was then opened by Sir Percival.
