"You did it?" asked Rosa with wide eyes when I told her about the fact that I would soon be in court against my father.
I nodded quickly, "I had no choice, he knows I'm here in Italy," I whispered so softly that the other guests couldn't hear.

We had arrived here about an hour ago with the others, Damiano was standing next to me, holding my hand.

"I'm very proud of you, dear," Rosa stroked my arm, Daniele, who was standing next to her, nodded in agreement.

"Damiano said I could maybe stay with you while he and the band are on tour, if it's not inconvenient for you of course. I can also look for a hotel, I just don't want to be all alone in a house," I spoke quickly because I was a little nervous.
"Oh nonsense, forget about the hotel right away," Daniele made a dismissive gesture with his hand.

"You want to come to us?", Rosa asked, she smiled broadly, "Nothing better than that, dear, you are always welcome here and I will be happy when we finally have you under our roof again", I was relieved when she said that.
"Thank you, really, thank you," I said to both of them and Rosa's face reflected all the motherly affection she felt for me.

"If you're going to court then surely witnesses will be needed, won't they? Who do you have?" Daniele asked inquiringly.
"Damiano and Victoria want to testify for me," I replied and Damiano squeezed my hand briefly."
I would also agree, after all, we have witnessed what happened at your house for years," Daniele said and I was surprised, "You would do that?"

"Of course, Coraline, you are like a daughter to us," that was the same thing Rosa had said to me before and I felt warm again. I loved these people so much.
"I don't even know what to say, thank you Daniele," I said stunned and he dismissed it as if it was a small thing.

"Do you think the whole thing will get into the press?" Rosa asked me, looking back and forth between Damiano and me, "Maybe, the public already knows about the relationship between my father and me, I bet something like that doesn't go unnoticed," I guessed.

"If it becomes public, it could even be good for you, many people have seen or read what you said about your father, everyone who knows about it is on your side, so there will be a lot of pressure on the court from outside, you will surely get justice," Damiano said convinced.

"Yes, I think so too," Daniele agreed, and then we were interrupted by Vic, who walked towards us all, grinning, and put her arms around Damiano and Daniele, who were closest to her, "The birthday girl is hiding all the time," she grinned in Rosa's direction, "We need you out there on the dancefloor", she said and directed Rosa out of the house, Damiano, Daniele and I followed.

Outside, I recognised Sophia and Ethan, who were dancing exuberantly to the music. My sister waved at me with a grin, her good mood contagious as always.

Sophia had reacted frustrated when I had told her that I didn't want her in court with me, we had discussed it for a long time and it was difficult for us to get along, she was still a bit angry about it, but she knew that I was stubborn and wouldn't change my mind.

The evening was beautiful, I danced a lot with my friends and enjoyed the exuberant mood everyone seemed to be in. In a fortnight, the others would be leaving Italy and I really wanted to savour every moment with them.

When we went home late at night in a taxi, because we had all drunk alcohol, we were still singing one of the songs that had been played. Vic swayed to the beat of the non-existent music and I had to support her.

At one point she sang a Harry Styles song, who would have thought it, and gave it her all while screaming the lyrics. The taxi driver must have thought we were completely stupid, but we didn't care.
