Epilogue

EVERYONE cried out of joy the moment we came back to the Main Ground of the Sayans Academy. Everyone cheered our names, saying they are all thankful that we managed to comeback alive.

“Where… Where is my brother?” kaagad nyang tanong pagkalapit sa amin.

“S–Sorry,” Just that one word was enough to erased all of the happiness we felt.

“Ready our cemetery. We will move all of the bodies before this night came.” dinig kong utos ni Mr. Macapagal. Tumango naman kami saka tumalikod sa kanya.

“Everyone will move, except for those who fight in the battlefield.”

“Stop blaming yourself, Crizten. You did well protecting us. You are the reason why we are still living.”

I don't even know if I can make it stop.

“I'm sorry. If… If I was just much more stronger, then perhaps—”

“Shush, you are strong as what you already are, Crizten. And you become much more stronger when you still stood up even knowing that you are fighting against your Mom.” pagpapakalma nya.

“I… I was not. I was a coward. I'm a coward for not being true to myself. It actually hurts, inside here,” saad ko saka tinuro ang bandang puso ko. “It hurts that I need to seal my Mom for the peace to come back. It hurts hearing my Mom shout in pain because of the sealing power the Pandora's box has. That might be Goddess of Lust, but she… she's still my Mom. She's still the one raise me up. She was the one that brought me dresses, school materials, the one that dress me, hug and kiss me.”

“It hurts knowing that things like that won't and never happen again.” dugtong ko.

“And that's makes you strong, Crizten.” bulong nya sa akin saka pinahid ang mga luha ko. “Even you know that you will not feel maternal love from her anymore, you still stood up. Even if you know you no longer can hug and kiss her, you still fight against her.”

“Crizten, we are strong physically, but only physically. But you are different. You are strong physically but you are stronger mentally. In a young age, you know what is right and what is wrong. Even you know that it might become unfair in your part, you still choose the right decision.” “You are not a coward. You are just smart.”
