Chapter Twenty One

Adrianna's Pov
"Alright doll! I'm gonna be leaving for a couple days for some business, remember to take your meds and try not to destroy the damn place." As days passed I realized his rambles could go on and on for hours. Sometimes they were cute rambles, sometimes randomly just saying what was on his mind. Others they were the deep rambles of a mad man.

I rubbed roughly at my eyes, My palms feeling slightly sweaty. It couldn't be this hot, then again all I really wore was sweats and large shirts.

I was beyond exhausted lately really just wanting to sleep, it would just got me, doing random errands, helping J, actually spending time with Harley. I strongly knew it was because of the change of meds the doc had me switch suddenly. He did say the side effects would vary with time, weight gain, eating all the stuff that came with deep anti depressants.

"I know J, not much is gonna be happening but me sleeping, maybe a movie night with Harley." I kept rubbing my fist all over my eyes, hoping to get rid of the heavy feeling behind each eye lid. I could hear his voice pausing before he was nearing me grabbing at my hand with one small motion.

"What's the matter? Talk to me." He demanded firmly like squeezing at my hand a couple times. A small little yawn escaped my lips even with me trying to hold it back.

"I'm just really exhausted J, I'll miss you be safe yeah." I muttered for just a small second his blue eyes soften before he was yanking me forward hugging me close to him, squeezing at me gently.

"Tsk tsk, you don't take care of yourself well, what am I gonna do with you hmm, go get some rest I'll send Harley up to check on you later once I leave, rest up doll." I took in his very best scent, feeling his hands were brushing back the curls. Yeah I was gonna be fine, I always was. It was just a couple days of alone time. It's what I needed.

I wasn't too sure how long I had been sleeping when I had made my way upstairs, it was like a blur but one minute I was saying goodbye next I was knocked out asleep in the large bed, by the time I checked the time and date it was the next day. The house was very eerie quiet and unsettling guess he took most of his men with him.

I had made my way downstairs to make a special blend of coffee to help with the headache, vodka and coffee. What a strange mix. I held back a yawn briefly lifting the cup up to take a sip, till I was jumping back in shock when the cup was smacked and shattered against the floor.

"Don't drink that! Are you crazy!" I stared in shock relaxing a bit.

"What the hell Harley, what was that for that was the last drop of the vodka." I exclaimed moving back making sure not to cut my feet, dropping down to scoop up the glass shards tossing them away into the garbage.

"Guess you really can't feel pain stupid, your hands are bleeding and I just saved you from doing something so dumb, how are you now twenty and can't even tell?" I stared at her with a blank amused expression, grabbing a mop to wipe up the still hot liquid.

"That I'm becoming an alcoholic how sweet of you to notice." I joked. She rolled her eyes shifting a bag in her hold, leaning on the counter.

"Adrianna I'm being serious here alright, for once could you trust me." I turned on the sink once I was finished picking out the glass from my palm.

"Of course I'll trust you, even though you tried to kill me multiple times." She let a very loud laugh out, before speaking.

"I have a suggestion on why you are exhausted, and eating things you aren't suppose to, as well as the clinginess." She gestured with her free hand.

"I'm not clingy! Excuse you." I exclaimed through some light laughter.

"When was the last time you had sex with Mista J?" I made a small face still laughing quietly.

"Oh come on Harley what has this-"

"Answer the question!"

I rolled my eyes playfully folding my arms over my chest. "Like last month after my period why?" I snickered out, she tilted her head more like she was calculating all through out her head, before she shook the bag.

"Well the time line matches up, I think you are pregnant doll!" My eyes grew wide a little staring at her some more.

"Have you gone mad?" I exclaimed after a small bit of silence surrounded us.

"No I've never been more sane girlie! I'm just saying, keeping track of time here can make you miscalculate every little thing, including months, birth control, just to be on the safe side, take a test, don't drink alcohol." She warns to me digging inside the bag she handed over to me a small box, with the words across pregnancy test in thick letters chewing on her gum more rough like her eyes soft.

"It's better to be safe then sorry doing something you regret to harm something you didn't even know was there, I'm here for you."
