Chapter 7

I leave his hospital room so he could get some rest. I leave the room and see Avery running down the hallway towards me.

"Are you okay?" She asked hugging me.

"Yeah just some scraps and bruises" I said.

"What about Ben" she asked noticing I just came from his room.

"He has a broken rib but he's doing okay" I said.

"Good, do you want to go home?" She asked.

"No I think I'm going to stay here and make sure he's okay" I said.

"Then I'll stay with you" she said while sitting in a chair in the waiting room.

I sat down beside her and fell asleep.

I wake up the next morning and went to the cafeteria to get some breakfast for Avery and I.

"Thanks" Avery said while yawning.

"No problem, thanks for staying here with me" I said handing her her breakfast.

"I wouldn't leave you here alone" she said.

We finish our breakfast and I go check on Ben.

"Hey" I said walking over to his bed.

"Hi what are you doing here" he said while sitting up.

"Bringing you your breakfast" I said while handing him his trey.

"Thanks" he said.

"Good news, you get to come home today" I said while sitting down at the end of his bed.

"What's going to happen to Luke" he said while taking a bite of his pancakes.

"I don't know" I said.

He finished his breakfast and I filled his papers out so we could leave.
