The Best Year

Chapter 8

We get back to Ben's house and start watching tv. We watch our normal boy meets world marathon like we used to when we were kids.

I decided to stay to make sure he was okay through the night.

We both tried to stay up but we both fell asleep the minute we sat on the couch.

I wake up and realize that ben is not on the couch. I get up to see if he was making breakfast but he wasn't. I went to his room and checked the bathroom but he wasn't there.

"Ben" I screamed.

I go outside and run around and I kept screaming his name over and over again.

I start walking down the sidewalk and I hear someone scream my name. I turn around to see Ben waking down the street with grocery bag in his hand.

"Where did you go" I ask hugging him with tears rolling down my cheeks.

"I went to the store" he said while hugging me back.

"You scared me, don't do that again" I said while hitting him.

"Ow" he yelped playfully.

We walked back to his house and ate the pancakes he bought at the store. I decided that he was alright so I walked home.

I walked into my house and my phone rang. It was the police office.
