Sheriff Vikkstar pulled his car into the Marryton sheriffs office. He pushed open the car door and stepped out in his sheriff uniform, where Dr. Smith awaited him.
"Vikk, I have waited several hours for your arrival, where have you been?" Spoke a concerned Smith, running up to his concurrent vehicle.
"You can tell me in the sheriffs office, Hudson." Said Vikk, lighting a cigarette.
"But this is serious, a possible end to humanity, you see-" He was stopped dead in his tracks.
"I said you could tell me in the sheriffs office, bud." Vikk furiously yelled.
"Vikk, this can't wait. I need you, split." Smith desperately pleaded. Sheriff gave in and led him into the office. He gave him a seat and plummeted the cigarette into the trash after smashing it weary.
"Alright, what was so important that it disrupted me from having a causal day? Oh, and also make it snappy. Carol found her cat on the roof. Poor lady couldn't reach the thing." He barely tolerated.
"I don't have time for small talk, listen- you know I've been working with Williams recently, right? I've told you how cautious I need to be. But he's taken it too far. And I mean wayyy too far. He created this mutated human which smashed its head through the window. It tried harming me and him, but we managed. He left out of the left section. I hopped out a vent. Landed in the top right section. Do you mind just getting that checked out."
"This is what you pulled me in for?" Vikk commented.
"Well, yes." Smith agreed. He laid back in the chair and pressed his sunglasses down.
"I- I'm sorry but uhh, I'm not believing this bullshit. You're saying there's a zombie breakout in the middle of the empty town with a population of 320?" Vikk grabbed his jacket and hat, starting to head out but Smith was following.
"I know it sounds crazy, but just check it out, okay?" He whined.
"Okay. Yep, well uh, see ya around, Smith. Definitely will check that out." With that he headed for the door, locking in his gun.
"Wait- promise me you'll search the..." he crossed his arms and stared at the ground. The pressure began to build up. He took a sigh and left with no luck.
