"So you're telling me you found Lani out in the woods of the Carson's." Asked Avery, as if she was supposed to believe them. The trio nodded there heads, staring at Avery. "I'm not buying it."
"We don't know what else to tell you. She was just there, wrestling with Charlotte as if she was some animal-" To there dismay, she spoke.
"Not animal." She spoke, barely recognizable. She must not have made contact with humans in a while.
"She sounds like a caveman!" Hannah and Avery snickered, angering Jack.
"This isn't funny. Shut up Hannah." Jack scolded, giving her a dirty look.
"Whatever. I'm leaving, goodnight loser." Hannah shrugged, picking up her stuff and heading out.
"Me too," Avery agreed, ditching them. She followed Hannah out.
"I gotta go." Hayden broke the news, grabbing his backpack and joining the others. Jack watched as he headed out, leaving the original trio with Lani.
"Well uh, I also need to leave." Drista said, nodding and grabbing her stuff, preparing to go home. Jack couldn't blame her. He was tired too after all the hard work they did today. "Cya guys tomorrow I guess." She walked up the steps and looked back before leaving.
"Bye bro," Charlotte dipped, going back to her room. That meant that it was only him and Lani. He looked at her, her eyes glimmering like the night sky.
"So, you can speak huh? Sorry my friends were kinda jerks." He apologized, staring down at the ground.
"Forgive." She said, looking up at him. He started to feel less ashamed, and gave out.
"What's happened to you? Where have you been all this time? Hiding?" He asked, liking very concerned for her safety.
"Bad people. Bad things." She mysteriously talked. She looked up at him, her hair smelly and nasty.
"What do you mean? Jeez we have to get you cleaned up sometime." He got off topic, picking fuzz off her hair but being swatted away.
"Bad. Need brother." She admired the room cutely, glaring at little antiques and quirky gizmos.
"Like... Tubbo, Tommy? Wilbur? Technoblade." Jack asked confusingly, bracing himself for how she was gonna respond. He would hate to tell her honestly.
"Yes. Tubbo, Tommy, Wilbur, Techno, now." She demanded, staring into his eyes with a passion. He feared she would say this.
"We can't, at least not now. Do me a favor will you? Get some sleep. Will give you a bath and fix you up, somehow..." He fetched some blankets and made room for her, whispering 'goodnight' before heading to his room.
"Night." She rolled over, and he sent the lights to sleep as well.
