"Operation Sanitization is a go." Dr. Williams spoke, his cold raspy voice beating against the echoey soundscape in the haul of the elevator, clinking against the shaft.
A group of four stood carefully in hazmat suits. They awaited the charm of the bell to step in, taking on a shaky basement.
As soon as the bell charmed, the door shook open. There flashlights flung around the room, there gun holstered in there side belt.
They began thoroughly searching every nook and cranny, flipping over tables, textbooks with thousands of millions of words in every book- stored on one desk.
Williams finally approached the testing room. White sheets filled the entire room, making it seem to go on forever if it wasn't for the shadows and broken glass window.
He examined the small, crowded room, and concluded there was no way to hide in this narrow space of emptiness. They weren't there to kill the monster, only capture it. That's why there guns were holstered up.
"Sir, I found a lead!" One man gasped, as Dr. Williams rounded the corner he saw a trail of blood into one locker, which mysteriously remained open. With the suspense building up, they all looked at each other and the agent slowly trotted to the metal locker, slowly revealing another empty crevice of nothing.
But there was no time to worry, a large, infested, brain dead human jumped out from the corner of the room, launching for an agent. His mouth gripped tightly and shut on the agent, causing him os tumble and push the zombie off.
He squeezed the bite as Dr. Williams grabbed his tranquilizer and shot the zombie unconscious. He cradled his very creation. A wormy, decaying creature birthed from a different species. He loaded the specimen onto the elevator, keeping close contact on him, and felt the shaft began to shake and rise up.
He stood and watched heartlessly, no expression, as his friend, a co-worker. Began to tremble and foam up, decaying fast oh and becoming infected. This was the business he was. A working business. Of betrayals. Friends. Enemies. And Death. Lots of putrid death.
