Jack rode his bike to Crews memorial. When he arrived he expected to see Crews mom, but surprisingly she wasn't there. He sat next to Charlotte and Drista, who both looked at him with a confused look.
"So are we not gonna speak how you ditched us today?" Charlotte said, sitting on the risers.
"I wanted to take Lani on a little bike ride and show her some of the house, ya know?" Jack said, patting his knees.
"Why are you always hanging out with Lani?" Drista asked, turning to him. Suddenly the assembly began and everyone fell silent. It was the usual dramatic talk, speaking about how good of a student Crew was and stuff. Despite it being dramatic it shouldn't have been a reason to laugh, yet Troy and Mason did. They would stick up there middle finger and smirk at Jack. After the assembly finished the gang all rushed to the mall, and Drista made Jack follow them.
"Cmon! Lani will be fine! She's always fine!" She dragged him to the mall. Luckily Hannah and Averys mom handed them some allowance money which they used to play video games. Jack separated to the other side of the mall.
"Hey loser! You know your dead after today, right? You don't have no bike to save you now boy." Troy revealed a small switchblade. Jack continued playing his games, trying to forget about them.
"Look at me in the eyes. Look at me." Troy screamed, stepping closer with his switchblade. "Do it or I'll send you to hell boy."
"Get away from me!" Jack yelped, backing up.
"Don't be scared! You'll just end up like Crew! A insufferable faggot." He said, putting the knife to Jacks throat.
"I'll kill you, creep. Lani probably isn't the only girl hidden in your basement." His knife was mere centimeters away from his throat. Suddenly out of nowhere Hannah, Avery, Hayden, Drista and Charlotte appeared. Troy turned, getting a kick in the face from Hayden and Hannah slammed his face with her fist. Avery kicked Mason in the nuts, and they booted out of there.
"Jesus- I uh- thank you I guess." Jack praised, watching in shock as the bullies fled the building.
"Your welcome. Hey, sorry about last night. I guess I was an asshole." They shook on it, and hugged apologizing for there faults.
"Me too rookie." Avery spoke, and they fist bumped. He smiled as Avery handed him her coin. "What're you waiting for?"
