Having not met you in his time as you had died shortly after his birth but when he came back to the present to stop the death of the charmed ones and his older brothers uprising as the king of the underworld, he had met you and inevitably fell for you.

Stopping his mother and her sisters death while protecting Wyatt from evil had been his ultimate goal when he had returned to the past but when he had met y/n l/n, a young witch-demon hybrid that had been under the sisters protection and care, he had no means of saving, let alone falling for her but it was with her genuine care for the sisters and his older (baby) brother that had him wondering what precious being whose dark leniage could lead them down a road such as hers, having heard the stories from his mother growing up, of a woman with descriptions like hers that had died saving them.

Your protection and sacrifice being what saved his life when news of his birth got out to the magic world and had caused evil to seek the life of the young halliwell but it was with his love for you, he'd faced a conundrum, save you and face consequences of possibly never being born or lose the only one who'd looked passed the fact he was the kid brother of the renowned second-blessed child and never see you again.

He loved you to much for that to happen.

So as his conception grew near he'd sought the spirits guidance and prayed whatever fate allowed him to travel back in time to stop his brother from being swayed to evil would give him a sign that you'd somehow survive and be in the future he'd worked so hard to save.
