He was confused. One minute you're all over him, lips attached to his like they were always meant to be there, attached at the hips in the most sensual way possible, him whispering sweet nothings to you and then the next your pulling off of him, insisting that you had to be elsewhere.
But he knew it was just an excuse to get away from him and the words he had whispered in the night. The words he had known was too early into your "friendship" to have confessed. But he couldn't help it, he loved you. Every bit of you, even this scared version of you that pushed him and his love away.
He loved it because he knew, deep down you loved him, too.
