Imagine... having a near death experience that shocked the whole of Arkadia and Polis, and Octavia being more than relieved that you survived.

"Hey, you're awake. You're okay?" You hear a soon as you assume consciousness, grumbling at the light that shown overhead.

"Hmm, yeah." You answer the familiar voice, your own voice gravelly from what felt like a years, but also a seconds, long rest.

Moving to sit up, you hear the same voice telling you to lay back, their insistence that you need to pace yourself causing you to do so.

Getting comfortable on the rickety cot, you looked up to see the familiar voice belonged to the youngest Blake, Octavia having been the one that scolded you into lying back down.

Ah, that makes sense.

Who else in their right mind would order a respected lieutenant of the tree people and trusted liaison of the sky people but your girlfriend, your mother no doubt agreeing with her if she were in the room.

Blinking around to see your mother was indeed in the room, her berating Abby and Clarke about your injuries. Your brother, Nyko, Trikru's primary healer, helplessly trying to calm her as they wait for you to come to, them not having heard Octavias relieved yell when you woke.

Looking back to see your girlfriend near tears as she came to the realization you actually were okay, her and your family having stayed by your side the whole time you were out cold.

The rest of your people waiting outside the medical tent chanting 'Ge smak daun, gyon op nodotaim' while praying for Pramheda, the first Commander, to help guide you.

The concept lost to those born in the sky but awakened in the girl raised under the floor the second her love came back, her brain telling her there was more to the story, as she'd seen the Griffin women succeed time and time again, in bringing back those thought long gone, but her heart choosing to accept whatever high or low, scientific or spiritual, brought her best friend and the love of her life back, that she's more than grateful.

Her promising to herself and you... and whoever or whatever listened that she'll do anything to keep it that way. Always.
