"What time do you want me to pick you up?" My Dad questions when we are about five minutes from the college. His car wouldn't start this morning so we are currently sitting in Harry's R8, because turning up to college in the super car won't draw attention to me.

"I'm going shopping with Annie remember," I'm actually hoping he offers to pick me up, I feel bad asking Annie to drive me all the way back home considering we're shopping near where she lives.

"Okay, so where should I pick you up from when your done?" He insists.

"You know you can't keep this up forever, I am an adult," I whine like a child, ironic.

"Where?" He asks with a trace of a smile on his face, completely ignoring me.

"Westfields, Shepard's Bush," I huff out, sulking back into my seat. The one thing I can say is this is on hell of a beautiful car, maybe Harry will let me have a test run if I ask nicely once I get my licence. "I'll call you to tell what time when I find out probably like two or three," I add.

"I may be finishing up a meeting around then so call my office and they'll transfer you over- without the comments this time," I chuckle at the thought of the phone call I had with my Dad's secretary yesterday.

"Yes."

"So I'll pick you up in the morning, and take you to college, same time?" He is not being serious.

"Jack will drop me, he lives next door," I tell him turning to face him but he just keeps his eyes on the road.

"No, I will." He tells me, keeping his eyes still fixed on the road.

"He's literally going to the same place as I am, your  dropping me to the place where he is now, please don't argue with me over this," and he just lets out a nod as we get near the college.

"I'm planning on telling Mum tonight, not that she'll mind considering she's clearly the rational parent," he lets out a chuckle at this, "so if you can hold off telling her till then it would be much appreciated," I tell him as we pull into the car park and all eyes, and I mean all eyes are on us. Well all their eyes were trained on the car, and I don't blame them, you don't see many cars like this around here.

I notice Jack sitting on the wall one foot hanging, the other leg tucked up, his arm draped over while he reads a book, but he's too far away for me to make out the cover. I feel a smile spread across my face and I can't take my eyes off of him, as he runs his hand through his hair. How can someone like that like someone like me?

I'm pulled out of my day dream when Jesse turns to me, his black AMEX card in hand. "Take this, I'll text you the pin. Buy whatever." He offers me a smile and I know he's doing this because I won't take his money for my birthday present.

"No Dad," I push his hand back but he gently pushes it into my hand.

"Please don't argue with me over this," he mimicked my words from earlier, I press my lips into a thin line and grab the card firmly in my hand and go to leave. I have the door open when he reaches out and grabs ahold of my arm. "See you later, have a good day." I climb out of the car and he gives me one last wave and he's off like a shot- and everyone's follows the car as it zooms out the gates.

I notice Clara and Sean with a few of their mates sitting on the car I have to walk past to get into school and to get to Jack. Luckily he notices me and starts to make his way as I start to climb up the stairs.

"Ella?" A boy from another group of people addresses me, the only reason I know he was talking to me is because he is looking me dead in the eye. I mean I don't blame him for not knowing my name, because I don't know his. Jack continues to walk towards me a bit quicker now that he has seen me and the boy talking. I can tell he's just worried.
