The loud sound of a door slamming shut jolts me awake, it takes me a few second to register my foreign surroundings. Why am I in Jack's living room? Memories of last night come flooding back to me, my eye still hurts but no where near as much as it did last night. We must have fallen asleep while we were talking last night, I turn to look at Jack fast asleep next to me- he has a post it note stuck to his forehead.

Didn't want to wake you, you both looked too peaceful.

Have a good day! - Mum xx

By the way- don't think you have gotten away with not telling me why your knuckles are busted and why Emily has a black eye! I will be back at seven and I expect you to be home and ready to tell me exactly what happened.

I shake Jack's shoulder, "Wake up Jack," He opens his eyes looking at the note on his head, he peels it off and stares at it while trying to fully wake himself up at the same time.

"Shit," Jack finally says, yeah I'd be saying shit too, I can imagine that Joanne is scary when she puts her foot down about something. "What time is it anyway?" I look over at the clock and it reads 8:30am. Tutor starts at 9:00. Shit. College- we're going to be late, I already missed a day the other week. I can't be late. You may think I'm being obsessive and I guess I am a little bit, but I hate being late.

"Jack it's 8:30 we need to get up, like now come on," I jump up out of my seat, grabbing hold of Jack's hand trying to pull him up. He pulls me back down on the sofa.

"Let's just not go I'm tired," He wines, leaning his head onto my shoulder and closing his eyes. I get back up making him flop face first onto the sofa cushions. "Urgh, Emily I'm tired."

"What a shame. I'm going to go get washed and dressed, and I'll meet you outside in fifteen minutes." I hear another grunt just before I leave.

I fish around in my pockets in what appears to be an impossible task. Shit. I didn't take my keys with me last night because Freddie had his. I knock on the door, what a shock no answer. He is going to be fast asleep, and as a cherry on top of the cake his room is at the back of the house. after multiple tries of knocking and ringing the doorbell I pull my phone out of my pocket and call his number.

Another surprise it goes straight to voicemail. And I have ten minuets till I'm supposed to meet Jack. I pointlessly try to ring him again, straight to voicemail again. The only thing left to do is piss off my neighbours and start shouting to him. "FREDDIE!" I shout, I look around to see if there is anyone around. I see Mrs Edwards watering her plants across the street, looking at me like I'm crazy.

"Sorry Mrs Edwards," I give he a smile and a tiny wave, but it was that awkward kind, like when you see someone you sort of but don't know them enough to stop and have a conversation with them. "I'm locked out house," I point to the door. Great one Emily it's not like she doesn't know where you live.

"Why don't you just use your key darling?" She tells me, now if I was Freddie I would have made an extremely sarcastic comment, but she is old, and she means it in a helpful way and I am well, I'm me and I wouldn't dare do that.

"Oh I left it inside," I give her a smile before bashing on the door again.

"FREDDIE OPEN THE DOOR!"

"FREDDIE!"

Finally the door slowly opens revel a very tired and confused Freddie, he is wearing a pair of grey jersey shorts and a hoodie that I've never seen before. His brown curly hair a wild mess on the top of his head, a sleeping mask keeping his hair off his face, a few stray curls are hanging out the bottom.
