Annie's POV:

3 AM

Lately this has become my favourite time of the day, I should rather say night! When world ends the day, my day become active. My brain starts driving in fifth gear. Especially since last one week, it has been intense. Suddenly ideas start flowing after 1 AM and I just start typing on my laptop in almost trance. As you may have guessed, I am a writer. Not to brag but I am part of top 50 young writers of my country with seven Novels and three collection of short stories under my belt.

Today, I am not writing, instead just sitting in a cozy nook of my bedroom, besides the window. Rain drizzling outside, accompanied by smell of tea loaded with herbs and slow jazz. I can't ask for anything more! I open the window, and surprisingly peaceful outside. Only noise I hear is water dripping, almost complementing the slow jazz playing in my bedroom. I take a deep breath, inhaling the beautiful aroma of herbs and tea from the tea cup in my hand.

The peace is suddenly interrupted by a large ding from my phone! Who has the courage to message me at 3 AM, I wondered! I glanced at the phone and there was a notification, "You have received a letter from MYG". I have been using this app since almost an year now and have interacted with around 30-35 people during this time, still, every time I get a letter from someone new, I get butterflies in my stomach. Intrigue of discovering someone new with a different perspective, different life experiences, and different personalities! These interactions have become my muse lately.

Excitedly, I unlock my phone and open the letter. It was a short message rather than a letter. "Man of few words!" that got my attention. I thought it would be interesting to interact with someone on the opposite side of spectrum. So I decided to write back:

------------------------------------------

Dear MYG,

Glad to hear from you.

Interesting to know that you are 180-degre away from how I am. I am always expressive. I express through my writing, I express verbally (a lot!), my body language, and even my facial expressions! Everything speaks! Speaks my emotions, my thoughts!

Apart from chit-chatting, I also enjoy a lot of pleasures of this beautiful life. Most important of them are my literature, music, painting (occasionally), tea (lots and lots of tea!) and interacting with different people. If we would further interact in future, you would know more about each.

You might have noticed that so far I have mentioned any specific personal details about me. Well, as my Bio says, I want to stay anonymous. Hence, I would not share any specific personal details and prefer to talk about general things in life. We can talk about our perspective on different aspect of life and world around us. I also, insist you to not share your personal details as well.

Sounds fun, right? If your answer is yes, I look forward to reading another letter from you. Hopefully, get to see you being expressive J

Take care of yourself!

Bye!

---------------------------------------

I pressed the sent button and was about to put the phone aside when I saw the notification on screen, "Your letter would be delivered in 20 minutes."

I was surprised to see 20 minutes. App randomly differs the delivery to increase the anticipation and make it feel like writing to an old style Pen Pal.

My eyes were getting heavy. I thought of going to bed but then a thought just popped up. What if MYG read my letter right away and responds! One part of me was trying to convince me to stay awake and wait for the revert. However, logical part of me was asking me to slip into my sweet slumber. It is not necessary that he will read the letter right away, I don't know what time is it in his part of the world. Even if reads and writes back, app may not deliver revert right away.

Finally I decided to get into bed and wait as long as my eyes can remain open. I told myself not to fight the sleep for a letter. Anticipation was not letting me sleep though!
