10. 21 Questions!

Annie's POV:

My new book is finally published and getting great reviews, even better than all the previous one combined. Just when I thought I would able to relax now and go on a vacation, my publisher slammed my wishes with their promotion plans. Uptill now, all my books have done well on it's own, primarily through word of mouth publicity. But this time around my publishing team is aggressively promoting my book – one because they want to milk most from the positive reviews and two, the day my book was published their biggest competitor has also published book by one of their best author.

As a result they have planned so many things to market my book – TV interviews, contests, book signing events, book reading events, radio interviews, Insta live, twitter Q&A and the list goes on and on. I am okay with all these things except the TV interview! I mean I have been speaking in public, giving lectures, participating in discussions, participating in debates (since I was 8!) and even giving TV and Radio interviews. But these all have been local, and this time around the interview is going to be on national television. National freaking television!

I am feeling super anxious, to say the least. I couldn't stop worrying and stop thinking. It's already 3 AM and as hard as I try, I am not able to sleep. All my efforts to sleep are leading to me being more restless!

I need to focus somewhere else! I need a diversion! I wonder what time it would be in MYG's country! Would he be awake? Would he be busy working? I stopped thinking much and decided to just ping him.

Ann:

Hey! Busy?

MYG:

Nah, just done with some work

Ann:

Can we chat?

MYG:

Of course! And we are already chatting!

Ann:

Yeah! Actually I'm a bit nervous and want to divert my attention from something stressful.

MYG:

Oh, all okay I hope!

Ann:

Yah! Just that I have something really important tomorrow. So just getting little jittery! Can't stop thinking about it!

MYG:

What do you want to do then?

Ann:

How about we play a little game?

MYG:

OHKAY??

Ann:

You have heard of 21 questions game, right?

MYG:

Ya

Ann:

So let's play that. Game is usually played to know someone better, it would be same for us. Only difference would be that we would not ask any specific personal question.

MYG:

Getting to know each other better and not ask personal question, isn't this contradictory Ann!?
