Epilogue

"Thank you!" Ah-In whispered in Suga's ear scooting a little closer to him in the back of a luxurious limousine. 

Suga wraps his hand around Ah-In, bringing her even closer, "For what?"

"Lot of things actually. For staying with me even in the worst of times. Giving me comfort, courage, and affection; when I needed it the most. And of course, for being brave enough to not hide what we have!"

Once the lawsuit was sorted, Ah-In and Suga had decided to not hide their relationship. In the last two months, they have been on numerous dates. Even when they were noticed by fans, they would not hide or run away. Instead, they would interact with their fans, often taking pictures with them or just chitchatting and fulfilling their curiosity. They did it all happily.

Suga was by Ah-In's side when she won Daesan Literary Award and he was still there by her side when she won Neustadt tonight. And that made both the wins all the more special.

He tilted her chin up and pecked softly on her lips. "You have been the source of my strength Ah-In. I wouldn't have been able to do any of it, if you didn't believe in us!" 

Ah-In took Suga's hand in her and intertwined both of their fingers, holding their grip with another hand of hers. "I am out of words to express my happiness at the moment!"

"Look at that, I made a writer go speechless!"

Ah-In chuckled, looking fondly in his eyes with a wide smile!

"Let me make this easier for you. Tell me how did you feel throughout the day?"

"Like a kid in a candy store!"

"What?"

"Yeah! Tonight, I got to meet a few of the brightest minds in the world. I have grown up reading their books and got inspired to write! Being there amongst all the legends felt so surreal! It still feels like a dream!"

"On more than one occasion I saw you fangirling around many authors! You were so cute, and yes, like a kid!"

"This was one of the most memorable nights of my life and sharing it with you made it even more special"

"I am so glad that I got to witness you getting two of the most prestigious awards. You deserve them so much, baby!"

All Ah-In could do was kiss him gently, trying to show her emotions through her kiss which she was not able to express through words right now!

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Of course, anything!"

"When that two sasaeng who had taken our pics and attacked you in that event got caught, you did not back out and went ahead with the case but you didn't go ahead with the fight in court with Sang-Hoon. Instead, you settled with a public apology, why so?"

"Sending someone letter with your own blood and threatening them to harm showed that they were definitely mentally unstable. Even prying on our privacy or attacking me in that parking lot was psychopathic behavior. I not only wanted them to face the consequences for their behavior, I also wanted them to get professional help for their psychopathic behavior. I knew the court would mandate psychiatric treatment and so I went ahead with the case."

"What about Sang-Hoon? You could have easily won if you had gone ahead with the case."

"I got to know Sang-Hoon during that workshop. I knew he didn't have evil intentions. Yes, he did get influenced by L P Publishers and he intentionally took a wrong decision. But that didn't deserve to have his entire life and career ruined. And that is what would have happened if he had to go to Jail when his claims were proven false. The public apology did cause him a lot of bad press and some hatred from people, but it would go away with time. I think it was punishment enough for him and he has learned a lesson for life."

"I bet he wouldn't think of doing something like this again!"

"Exactly, there is one more reason why I didn't want to go ahead with the case."

"What's that?"

"Case would have lasted for months or even a year or so. And during all that time I would be perceived guilty by the world. Public doesn't see it as 'innocent till proven guilty'. Public sees it as 'guilty unless proven otherwise'. In the court, L P wouldn't have let Sang-Hoon admit their involvement in this and they would have gone unpunished."

"True, Sang-Hoon realized that he would lose the court case and would have instead been persecuted for false accusations. So that gave him the incentive to admit L P's involvement. And with that, we were able to sue them for defamation and mental harassment."

"Yeah! They'll also get what is coming to them!"

"It feels like a lot of weight has been lifted off from our shoulders. And you don't know it feels such a relief not having to lie about our relationship and just be ourselves around the world. "

"I know, I feel the same! Now, all we have to do is look forward to years together, being each other's companion, each other's strength, each other's love!"

"Looking forward to each special moment ahead, love!"

"Me too, love!"
