Suga's POV:

It was still 10-12 minutes for our interview, while Ah-In's interview was being recorded. Boys were still in green room. I decided to stay in front of the TV screen little longer to watch her interview.

There were two couches in the middle of the set. On one two hosts were sitting and in front of them, on another couch, Annie was sitting. Surrounding them were Audience at little bit of distance in a circular sitting arrangement.

Ah-In seemed quite confident, completely different from how I saw her earlier. I think this comes naturally to her and it had nothing to do with our conversation.

"Annie this book made me cry so much. My husband was looking at me so strangely while I was weeping with book in my hand" Female host said.

"Oh Ae-ra I am so sorry if my book made you cry. Yes, the book is full of emotions. Emotions of bereavement, of regrets, of alienation. I am glad that readers are able to connect to the emotions of the story."

Wow, look at her, articulating so confidently! I was feeling as if I already knew her since long and was feeling proud of her!

"Annie, for those out there who has not yet read your book, tell us a little bit about it." Male presenter asked.

"Well, Ju-won, the story is around Choi Bora and Choi Ye-Jun, leaving in North Korea. They both are lovingly married, working in government positions. Ye-Jun starts to feel that his principles do not align with government policies and positions. For Ye-Jun It becomes more and more suffocating living in the country and doing work which is a compromise to his belief system. Thinking of providing a better life for family and a brighter future for their kids, he decides to flee from North Korea. However, Bora's patriotism stops her from joining husband's plan." Ah-In explains plot of the story.

"Yes, and the way you have described Ye-Jun's painful journey of escaping the country with a young daughter was so painful. All the events that unfold just made it so emotional." Female presenter, Ae-ra added.

"Not just Ye-Jun, Bora was in pain too. Her suffering and sacrifices were extremely difficult as well. Being wife of a defector, she had to go through multiple occasions of mental and physical torture throughout the years. While all she wanted was to live with dignity and raise her son well.", Ah-In added.

Sounds interesting, I thought. The way Ah-In spoke, the way she described her book, everything seemed so fascinating. I was so glued to the TV screen (or rather to the lady speaking), I didn't notice that all the boys had gathered around me and were waiting for our entry as Ah-In's interview was about to be over.

Our interview and performance went well. I saw Ah-In standing in the audience during our performance, cheering on with a big smile. However, I didn't get a chance to speak with her after the show. We were in hurry and I couldn't see her around.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Later that night when I was in bed exhausted, I thought of messaging Ann. We didn't get to chat much today. While I was busy entire day with interviews, I thought she must also be busy with her important event. So I avoided bothering her. But I couldn't wait any longer for her message and decided to message her.

MYG:

Hey there!

Ann:

Hey hey hey!

MYG:

Someone seems to be in a good mood. I guess your important thing went well.

Ann:

Oh, it went super! Not to brag, but I was awesome

MYG:

Aha! Nice!

Ann:

To be honest, I did have some help. Everything went thousands of time better than I expected.

MYG:

Well, I am glad that someone was around to help you.

Ann:

Yes but I feel bad coz I didn't get the chance to thank him. And unfortunately, I don't think I would be seeing him again.

MYG:

That's bad.

Ann:

How was your day?

MYG:

Very good actually. I met someone interesting today!

Ann:

Looks like we both had an eventful day.

MYG:

Indeed!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We chatted for few more minutes and Ann fell asleep chatting. Well, I am assuming that she felt asleep coz I didn't get any reply for almost half an hour. She must be tired with all the happenings of the day.

I, on the other hand was not at all sleepy, despite being exhausted! While waiting for Ann's reply, I kept thinking about my interaction with Ah-In and her interview. I remembered each of her statement, her expressions, her hand movements, everything! I was feeling like a teenager infatuated with an Idol, forgetting that I am one myself!

I decided to search for her book online. It was easy, since it was current best selling.
