Because it fits this Plays before the last one
Alex was freaking out. He had told his sister before and she had accepted him, but his parents were super religious, what were they going to say about their son being gay?
His anxiety grew as he was walking down the stairs, now he was constantly picking at his fingers and mumbling what he was going to say. What if they don't accept me, what if they kick me out, what if the make break off contact with my sister, what if- Then he sat down at the dinner table, straightened his back and got ready for the prayer they held before eating.
Alex wasn't eating his dinner at all. He was just moving it around with his fork, a thousand thoughts in his head. I have to tell them eventually, so why not now? It can't be that bad.
About half way through the dinner he pulled himself together and said: "Mom, dad, I have to tell you something" His mom looked up interested while his dad just continued eating. "What is it, Alexander?", she asked.
"I'm gay, I like men", he confessed his voice breaking. That's when his dad looked up rapidly and his mother almost spit out her food. "Did I hear you right? You are a homosexual?", she asked. Alex nodded embarrassed. Then his dad stood up and screamed at him, "No son of ours will like men, so either be normal or leave and be disowned!"
Alex was shocked, with tears in his eyes he turned to his mother. "Mom-", he started his voice filled with so much pain, but quickly got interrupted. "It's Jessica to you, now get out, tomorrow you can either be normal or go get your stuff"
With that Alex ran out, quickly grabbing his keys and putting up his hood over his head. The worst thing had happened and his eyes quickly started filling up with tears. How could his parents be done with him so easily, he had honestly though they loved him. Clearly, I was wrong, he thought while running down the streets. He didn't know where he was going, but the running helped calm him down a bit.
Where can I go?, he thought. Maybe to Luke, no he was catching up with his family after all those fights about the band, he didn't want to disturb them. How about Reggie, no, his parents would probably be fighting.
Bobby! He could climb through his window and Bobby wouldn't mind, right? It was worth a try, so Alex ran to Bobby's as fast as he could.
Bobby had been reading a book when he heard a knock on his window. Who could that be?, he thought. The guitarist stood up and opened the window to see- Alex, tears in his eyes and soaked by the rain that had just started.
"Alex! Come in", Bobby said his voice softening after the shock. "What are you doing here? What's wrong", he then asked while pulling Alex in his room by grabbing his hand.
"I told them", Alex whispered his voice breaking as he started to cry again. "I'm so sorry", Bobby who immediately caught on told him. The he pulled the drummer into a warm hug.
"You're safe here, do you wanna talk about it or have me distract you", he asked. "Let's just keep hugging, I'll tell you when I'm ready", Alex answered. "Anything for you", Bobby whispered which would have normally lead Alex's brain into spirals, but right now it was just really calming.
After a while Alex had stopped crying and felt ready to tell Bobby, he slowly pulled away from the hug and whispered, "I just thought they would accept me, like my sister did, they are supposed to love me, right?" Bobby didn't know what to say, but he wanted Alex to stay comfortable, so he signaled him to go on and kept an arm around his shoulder to calm him down.
"And the worst thing is, tomorrow I can either come back and act 'normal' the rest of my life or be myself and homeless. And even if I find anywhere to stay, I still won't be able to talk to my sister", Alex went on. That's when Bobby got an idea.
"Hey, what if you stayed with me?", he asked Alex. "What?", the other boy replied. "Well, my parents love you and they're supportive of queer people, so even if you told them why they would let you stay", Bobby explained.
Alex's face lit up slightly, "Sounds amazing, but what about my sister?" Bobby though for a bit then he asked, "Didn't she just get a phone (flip phone) for her birthday?" Alex's face lit up fully now, "So I just have to get her number tomorrow while getting my stuff; thank you Bobby, you're the best!"
"No Problem, just being your friend", Bobby chuckled, then he took a closer look at his friend. "You look like you're getting tired and it's pretty late, do you wanna go to bed?", he asked. Im not tired yet, too much commotion, can we watch a movie for now?"
"Sure which movie?", Bobby asked showing Alex his dvds which he had collected over the past few years. "Aladdin?", Alex said. "Sure", Bobby agreed, "but before we watch it, here take these pajamas and get dressed in the bathroom, you know where it is, right?" Alex chuckled, "Sure do, be right back" The he grabbed the pajamas and walked out to that bathroom. Man, I love that guy, Bobby thought.
The spend the rest of the night cuddleing and watching Aladdin until Alex fell asleep on Bobby who then carefully turned of the Tv and lights.
The next morning Alex woke up to find him spooning Bobby. He started blushing, but then quickly and carefully got up and wrote a not to Bobby.
Hey Bobbers,
I'm out to get my stuff from my parents, but I'll be back for breakfast don't worry :)
Lex
Then he started walking to his house. When Alex rang the doorbell his Mother opened. "Oh, so decided to be normal, great! Your father is out with his friends right now, but come in", she told him.
"I'm actually just here to get my stuff and say goodbye to my sister, mom", Alex explained. "Then it's still Jessica to you, now be quick, your dad will be back soon and if he finds you it will be worse, she said. Got it, Jessica", Alex said and ran inside.
He quickly but most of his clothes, his toothbrush and some personal belongings in a duffle bag. In this moment he was glad that his drums were in the studio they would've been a pain to pack. Alex chuckled at that thought and then made his way to his sister.
He knocked at her door and was promptly let in. "Hey", he said slowly. "Hey", she replied, "so?"
Alex smiled slightly, "I'm staying at Bobby's and we can still chat over phone, can you write down your number real quick?" His sister quickly did that and gave him the piece of paper, "Here, don't forget to write" Alex smiled, "wouldn't dream of it, bye love you" "bye, love you too", his sister replied. Then he left.
Back at Bobbys the family and Alex were eating Pancakes, talking and laughing. Then Alex got a text from his sister, living with your crush lets see how that turns out ;) This made Alex blush which the others noticed, but he excused it with "Just my sister, you know how they can be" and everyone understood that, so it was okay.
From then on Alex's days consisted of band practice and cuddling with Bobby.
