Personality:
To put it lightly, Margot is a bit of a dork. She's the sort of person that lacks any sort of filter, which can make her come across as extremely annoying. However, you can't ever fault her for not being genuine. She's the sort of person that's an open book; her heart is sewn into her sleeves so to speak. This doesn't mean she's naive, in fact, she's far from it. Margot just isn't the sort that likes to complicate things and probably is too good at communicating. Margot isn't a serious person by any means and will most likely resort to stupid jokes as a way to dispel tension. In her brain, life's too short to be pissed, might as well laugh. But the thing is, she isn't really funny, so her jokes just make things awkward.
Likes:
Being right, movies, science fiction books/dystopian, her routines, her job, being outdoors, and her dog, Beans.
Dislikes:
Tension, intense arguments (although, she can be blamed for starting a lot of these), athletic people, religious people, any sort of belief that isn't backed up by soundproof evidence, people that blow bubbles with their gum, and trains. Something about them isn't right.
Background:
Despite growing up in a single parent household, Margot didn't really have a lot of trauma or toxic family issues to deal with. In fact, she is super close with her mother and they've both managed to find a good balance between work and life. It would've been more bizarre for her to have a father, at least, that's what she tells people. Sure, her mom had boyfriends, but she made sure to keep that life separate so her daughter wouldn't grow attached to people who weren't going to be permanent staples in her life. Sure, Margot missed out on the father daughter dances, but she doesn't really dwell on what she didn't get anymore. As far as she knows, her dad died in Afghanistan.
Other:
She's quirky, but not in the, choose me, I'm not like other girls, quirky.
