Personality: For the most part, Killian is all worn and no play. Brooding, reserved, and a bit judgmental, he's a pessimist to his core. Paired with a blunt tongue and a sarcastic bitterness, he does his best to keep everyone more than an arm's length away. He doesn't like emotions, especially feeling them himself, so he has mastered the art of swallowing all of that which causes him to come across as being unreasonably in empathetic. Of course, deep down, he cares quite deeply about many things—he just doesn't know how to express these sentiments. For instance, he's way of saying I love you, is by reprimanding you and basically calling you a fücking idiot for almost getting yourself killed. So yeah, he's not your typical day of sunshine. Of course, this just makes him a better guard, since he is extremely obedient and he doesn't let his emotions get in the way of what he does. Plus, since he doesn't have any relationships, he doesn't get distracted and will always fulfill his oath; if need be, he is willing to die to protect the crown. Skills: Killian is an expert swordsman. He is physically strong and mentally strategic, so he is pretty much an unstoppable force—within reason—against his potential opponents. Quiet and quick, he's very observant and he knows far more than he probably should. Backstory: There's nothing much to it that he'll probably share besides the fact that he was a bastard born out of wedlock. He doesn't have any strong ties to his mother. He knows who she is, but he tells people she's dead rather than admitting the truth; that she abandoned him in favor of raising her legitimate lineage. The only way out of poverty and to guarantee himself some standing and title was by training to be a guard. Of course, the best way for him to do so was by enlisting as a mere foot soldier before proving his worth and working his way up until the king himself asked Killian to protect his most valued treasure; his son. For some reason, the man seemed to understand that Killian was the perfect soldier because he had nothing else to live for. The only thing he ever cared about was protecting something and surviving, the later of which he was more than willing to toss aside if it meant dying for a worthy cause. And of course, Soren is more than worthy in his eyes, not that Killian would ever mention such a thing.
