Our first game was against Trinidad, we won of course. Not saying that Trinidad was a bad team or anything! We had just trained super hard and were well prepared. We had won our 2nd and 3rd game without much effort. We had a good team, and a good coach.

Me, Ken, and Julie had gotten closer to Adam during the time that had passed. We started inviting him to hang out with us every time we did something together. It was like he was officially a part of our group. There are a lot of things you wouldn't expect from him. For example, aside from him reading, he liked romance and mystery novels. I found that cool because those are my favorite genres.

The four of us were walking back to the hotel after a long practice. It was a morning practice so we had all day to do whatever. We were planning on going to the movies and doing whatever in the city. I was excited, we were going to see a new horror movie that had recently come out.

We split when we got to our rooms. Me and Julie we walking in sync, it was funny. I quickly took a shower and got into some nice but comfy clothes. Julie showered after me. Once we were both ready we walked across the hall to the boys' room. We knocked on the door, Ken opened it and let us inside. Adam wasn't in sight so I'm guessing he was showering. We sat on the couch and Julie turned on the T.V., I grabbed my phone and started scrolling through some old conversations I had with my old friends. The ones that I didn't manage to keep.

Back in Detroit I had some issues with my old team. They all went to my school, so when drama happened throughout the team, someone was quick to gossip. Once it got bad and she was spreading around a bunch of lies saying I did something with a player on a rival team(Which may I add I did not do) and just like that. Poof. I only have 2 friends left. I was sad to leave them when I moved but happy to be out of that toxic hell-whole.

Adam walked out of the bathroom a few minutes later, he put his shoes on and we left. The movie theater was only a few minutes away from the hotel walking. We got there quickly and paid for our tickets. we walked into the theater and took a seat. I sat in between Julie and Adam, We had two popcorn buckets so we each shared with another person. I was sharing with Adam.

The movie had started, I'm not the biggest fan of horror movies, but I enjoy them. I reached into the popcorn bucket and felt mine and Adam's hand touch. I was quick to remove my hand, my cheeks were probably bright red. I waited for him to move his hand so I could get some.

The movie ended around 2:30 so we had plenty of time before we had to get back to the hotel. Julie brought us to this diner a few minutes away from the theater. It reminded me of a place my mom would bring me to in Michigan.

We sat down at a red and white booth. The waiter, who may I say was extremely nice, gave us our menus and went to go help another table.

"Oh my gosh, she was like the nicest person I have ever met." Julie said, I nodded my head in agreement.

"Well, you didn't really meet her. You talked to her, she introduced her name because that's what waiters do I guess, and she gave us our menus. That's not really meeting her." Ken said, casual Ken, correcting you the second you say something incorrect. I playfully rolled my eyes at his statement.

"Don't get smart with me, Ken!" Julie said while pointing at him. We all burst out laughing.

"I mean, he wasn't wrong." Adam said, still laughing. I cleared my throat.

"Okayokayokay. Subject change, our next game is a preview against Iceland. They're huge! Hopefully they like, I don't know, shrink or something before our game." I said while adjusting the position I was sitting.

"Yea, but size isn't everything. I mean, our players each have features that can help us. Like Luis, he's so fast, he could probably beat a cheetah on the ice," Adam said, I thought about it for a second, then nodded my head. "And Dwayne, I don't think I've ever seen someone handle the puck like him. He has complete control. We also have Dean and Fulton, they could knock down anyone on the Iceland team with a single finger snap."

"True, but that's individually. We need to work as a team to beat them," Julie said. We all looked at her. She wasn't wrong. "Those features don't do us any good by themselves, but with all of our special abilities combined we can beat them." The table went silent. Until the waiter came back, we all ordered milkshakes, and we got fries to share.

We walked out of the diner tired. We gave our last bit of cash we had on us to the waiter as a tip.

"What do we do now?" Adam asked. We all turned to him.

"Well we all have our skates right? I guess we could just skate around the city?" I said, not sure if it was a question or suggestion. Ha that rhymed.

"I guess we could do that," Ken said. I looked down at my watch, 3:41. We still had plenty of time. We hurried back to the hotel to grab our skates. We walked into the elevator right before it closed. Connie and Guy were in there, I heard that they had liked each other a while ago but I didn't figure out if they still do. Probably.

We walked out of the elevator and walked straight to our rooms. I had to look through my bag a little until I found my skates, but they were there. The scratched up neon green wheels caught my eyes. I grabbed them and walked to the hallway where I was met by the other 3.

A/N: I'm sorry it's going by so slowly but quickly at the same time. I really need to get past this part so we can get to the part which I had actually planned out, which was d3. yeayea. Please continue reading I promise it will get to an interesting part eventually! :))
