Chapter 41

We had the following week off for Thanksgiving. It was nice to get a whole week, at my old school we just had Thanksgiving day and the day after, then back to school we go. It's currently Monday, I'm going to go over to Evelyn and Andrew's house for the first time today. Exciting.

I'm going there around 10am, early kinda, so I woke up around 8am. I waddled over to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I thought long and hard about what I was gonna do to my hair, I think I'm just gonna straighten it, or should I curl it? No, straighten it, for sure, I'm too lazy to curl it the way I like.

The hair straightener had just finished when I got a facetime call from Adam. I answered and leaned the phone up against a bottle of perfume.

"Hey pretty girl." He said as soon as I answered. 

"Hi Banksie." I said. I sprayed some heat protectant spray in my hair before using the straightener. I don't wanna burn my hair off.

"Oooh, where ya goin?" He asked when he saw me straightening my hair.

"Over to Evelyn and Andrew's house. I've never been there before, I'm excited." I said. I accidentally touched the hot part of the iron, I let out an ouch before setting it down on my bathroom counter.

" Be careful," Wow thanks Adam, what a great piece of information to know. Would've never known to be careful. I laughed to myself. "Do you think I could come? I don't have anything to do today, I'm bored." 

"I don't know, Adam. They were probably only expecting me, it would be kinda rude to just bring you along without telling them, sorry." I said while frowning.

"True, hey also, has Andrew been acting different around you lately at school? or in general?" he asked. I thought for a minute.

"No, I don't think so, why?" He was silent for a minute before speaking.

"I don't know, he's always looking at you, like staring at ou. I think he may like you, I don't want him to..do anything, ya know?" he said. Oh? 

"Adam, he knows we're dating, I don't think he would do something like that. He's our friend." I said. He sighed.

"Guess so. Just let me know if he does anything, okay?" I nodded at the screen. I love how Adam is protective but not to the point of it being weird.

"Okay so, anything you wanted to tell me? Or did you just call to say hi?" I said.

"Oh yeah, about that," he said. I finished straightening my hair and went into my room to get changed. "Lyla messaged me saying you said you were gonna dump me or something." he laughed.

"Really? Oh wow, well that's not true. I haven't talked to her since like, last Saturday. I can even show you our chats if you want proof." I said, trying not to laugh. Lyla is so petty.

"Oh no no it's good. I believe you. She's acting like a fifth grader if I'm being honest. Someone hasn't matured much."

"Right? Like I don't mean to be a jerk but like, she called me selfish for dating you when she likes you. How was I supposed to know she liked you? She never told me. Plus I knew and liked you first so it wouldn't even matter." I said.

"Literally, so should I block her orrr?" he asked.

"Nah, let's see what else she says, just leave her on read. She hates that."

I looked at the time. How was it already 9:15? I was almost ready to go but still, time flies. I have to leave in like 5 minutes.

"Hey, Adam I gotta go. I'll call you when I get home though!"

"Okay, bye Anna, I love you!" He said while holding up half a heart with his fingers.

"I love you too! I'll talk to you later!" I said finishing the heart.
