Chapter 21

The team had a meeting with the dean in the library before classes started. There was a big ant farm which I guess was cool.

"Why'd you guys do that, it made our team look bad." Julie asked.

"Yea, great way to start our high school career." Ken added.

"Don't worry guys, those preppies can't do anything to us." Charlie said shrugging it off.

"Yea but still, it's embarrassing." I said.

"Guys chill out, it was funny. Woah, antsville!" he said, completely changing the subject. I sighed and rolled my eyes. 

The dean came in and started talking about the ants. Gosh I hate ants, they're almost as bad as spiders.

The meeting wasn't very long, I didn't pay much attention though so I don't really know what the dean talked about. We were all walking out of the library to head to first period.

"Hey! What's your first class?" Adam said as he caught up to me.

"Uhhhmm," I said while grabbing my schedule out of my pocket. "Math." I groaned, what a great class to start the day with.

"Nice that's my first class too!" Adam cheered, well kind of cheered, it wasn't a full cheer if you know what I mean.

"Cool, uhmm, my second period is advanced literature." I said, I don't understand why it was advanced, I literally suck at writing.

"Awe that sucks, I have history." he said while frowning. I laughed, he was adorable.

The only classes that we together were math and chemistry. We had chemistry our last period. At least we get to start and end school in the same class.

We walked into room 237, which was the math room if you couldn't tell. There was writing on the board that said 'pick your seat, choose a good one, it'll be yours all year'. Nice. Adam and I picked desks right next to each other, they were towards the back of the room but not the back row. We set our backpacks on the floor and sat down. A boy sat in the seat to the left of me a few minutes later. Adam and I turned to look at him as he sat down.

"Hey, uh this seat is free right?" he asked.

"Ah sorry, yeah it's open." I said. I gave Adam a look telling him to stop staring at the kid.

"Okay nice, I'm Keith, are you guys freshman too?" He asked. Adam and I nodded, he smiled. None of the freshman knew each other unless you came with someone, because the only Edan Hall school is the HS. So everyone came from some random middle school. 

"I'm Anna, and this is Adam." I said pointing at Adam. Keith nodded, still smiling.

"Double A." he laughed, me and Adam joined him laughing quietly. "So you guys know each other? before today?" Keith asked.

"Yeah our whole hockey team got scholarships." Adam said. I nodded in agreement.

"Oh cool! I used to play but stopped for tennis." Keith said, that's cool I guess.

"Bummer, hey what time does this class even start?" Adam asked. I looked at the schedule.

"8:45, its currently 8:43 so in two minutes."
