My apologies for the delay. I will be getting back to doing unfortunately all over the place drafts and concepts. I must apologize however, I quite honestly have up half way through writing this. On the contrary, without further adieu.

Autumn season came around September. The sounds of the russet leaves crunching underneath them as the two strolled through the forest. Rantaro was spending the night at Korekiyo's house that night, but they decided to take a walk before the sun went down.

"Hey Kiyo, by the way; I've been wondering. Have you ever had a pet?"

Korekiyo placed his hands in his coat pocket.

"We couldn't have one when we were little due to fears that having one would make her condition worse, and the fact we were completely financially stable. However..." He pulled down his mask and smiled. They both stopped walking at this.

"I do have one now, technically."

"Wait, really? I've never seen it befo-"

Korekiyo placed a finger on his lips, and started making a clicking noise. He straightened out one of his arms.

"Huh? What are you-?"

"Shhh, just wait." He whispered and  winked at the other boy.

As if on cue, a black bird flew down from the trees and landed on his arm; this causing Rantaro to gasp in shock.

"Whoa, is that a Raven?"

"Yes, I rescued him a while ago. Poor thing had a wing injury you see. He doesn't always stay with me, but he does come by once and a while to say 'hello'." He explained petting the birds head with his finger, the bird shaking with delight.

"Thats-, that's so cool! Do you have a name for them?" Rantaro asked excitedly, slowly going to pet the bird.

"I named him Nevermore, he's an adventurous little bird. Much like you, dear."

"Heh, let me guess. Edgar Allen Poe?"

They both chuckled.

"Yes, I was reading the poem at the time.

"Of course." Rantaro mumbled and laughed.

Korekiyo guided Rantaro's hand to Nevermore's head, one again placing a finger and slowly running stroking it. He clucked with delight, making a rather loud but pleased noise.

"He seems to quite like you it seems. Would you like to hold him?"

"Is that alright?"

Korekiyo smiled and positioned his lovers arm out, the Raven happily flew and perched himself onto his shoulder.

"Shall we continue?"

Rantaro smiles and nods, holding his lovers hand as they continue down the path with his new found friend.
