"Rest."

Korekiyo walked through the nearly empty dining hall. Fewer people were there, however, one person caught his eye. Rantaro Amami. They've grown to be quite close over the few years they've been at the academy.

Korekiyo walks over to Rantaro, who was leaning against the wall with  a glass of water.

"Greetings, Rantaro. I see you're back from another trip. Where did you go this time?"

"South America. Quite the stimulating trip."

"I see... I'm glad you've returned safely. I wished to speak with you about something. It seems as though your travels have a purpose. Were you able to fulfill it this time?"

"No. Not yet.."

"I do understand your reasoning for pushing this so far,  however you seem pale. It may be best to recuperate."

He sighed and looked out the window.

"I can't. I need to find them."

"Family is important, yes. I don't blame you for having so much drive to find them. However, your health is taking a toll from this. You do understand, yes?"

"I can't rest until I find them. I can't just leave them. I'm their big brother. I have to find them and bring them home safe."

His face turned intense. His eyes started to water up, as if he was going to cry.

"I should've been a better brother. I need to fix the mistake I made. No matter what."

Korekiyo takes Rantaro's hands into his own, rubbing his palms in sympathy.

"You need to take care of yourself too. They wouldn't want their big brother to be hurt."

Rantaro became extremely pale.

"I.. Need.. To.. Fi-"

Korekiyo quickly grabbed Rantaro so he didn't fall on the floor as he passed out. The glass shattered all over the floor.

"I'll need to clean this up later."

Korekiyo picked Rantaro up and started walking towards the dorms.

He opened the door to his dorm and laid Rantaro down on the bed. Feeling his forehead, he was hot to the touch. Kiyo grabbed a washcloth from the bathroom and poured a generous amount of water onto it, before placing it gently onto Rantaro's forehead. He placed a blanket onto him, making sure that Rantaro was comfortable. Korekiyo figured that he fell asleep after fainting, so he sat next to the bed, waiting until Rantaro wakes up so he can properly take care of him.

After a while, Rantaro opened his eyes.

"Where... Am I?"

"You're in my dorm room. Are you feeling alright?"

Rantaro looked around the room. Books and papers neatly scattered on a single desk.

"My head is killing me, and I don't really feel well, but I think I'll be okay."

Rantaro slowly started to sit up and tried to leave, but Korekiyo gently forced him down.

"I'm afraid I can't let you leave."

"I need to go back to-"

"No. I know you want to find your sisters, but I'm not going to let you get hurt. You might faint again, I'm not letting you go until you are completely healed."

"Heh. I guess I'm stuck then."

Rantaro laid back down on the bed, chuckling with a small smile.

"I have an idea."

Rantaro turns his head to look at his friend.

"I'll help you look for your sisters."

"What?"

"When you're better, I'll help you look for your sisters. I often travel anyways, and two heads are better than one, so I'll help you."

"Really Kiyo?!"

"Well, of course."

"Thank you. I really appreciate it. You know what? How about you come with me? It'll be a lot better if you'd join me."

"I'd love to. That way I can also make sure that you're taking care of yourself."

Rantaro chuckled softly and reached for Kiyo's hand.

"It's a deal then. You'll be my travel partner for now on."

"I'll stay by your side until the very end, Rantaro. I promise you that."

They hold hands in acknowledgement.

"Anyways, for now, let us focus on your health."

I have too many concepts to work with. One of them includes Korekiyo being an Naga.
