"Amara, you with us?" Midoriya asked as we ran as a group for the last class battle, snapping me out of my spiraling thoughts.

"Of course, we are going to be fine," I reassured. Midoriya used his quirk to jump high into the air, scouting ahead. I decided to unleash my wings and tail, flying behind him. I watched from high above Midoriya and everyone else.

Suddenly, a giant object swiped at Midoriya, but he evaded it easily. We both halted as Monoma appeared, babbling on about how it was a mistake for Midoriya and me to be here. Irritation plagued me, and I felt my eye twitch at the annoying blond. Without thinking, I channeled electricity along my arms. Streaks of thunder pulsated from my pores, and I couldn't help but smile as I felt the power writhe within my veins.

The blood drained from Monoma's face as I sent spears of thunder toward him. I saw him scurry away, frantic to evade my attacks.

"Are you trying to kill me?!" Monoma shrieked as he ran. I was about to hit him when something collided into me. I looked down to see black tendrils of void-like whips slashing at my torso. I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from shrieking.

I heard Midoriya grunt from below; the black whips seemed to radiate from his body. Was this a new extension of his quirk? Unsure of what was happening, I began to fly down to help him. I had almost reached him, my hand outstretched, only for sharp tendrils to tear through me.

I felt my flesh become impaled by the dark spikes of energy. I couldn't harden my skin in time to save myself from Midoriya's new quirk. Blood seeped from gaping wounds throughout my abdomen, with the blackened spikes still stuck inside me. They flailed me around, painfully tugging at my gaping flesh before flinging me into a building.

Dust and dirt hovered around me, making it hard to breathe. The pain in my aching bones already made it difficult. I felt my body convulse as I tried to stand back up from the dusty ground.

"Fucking hell," I cussed through clenched teeth, clutching my gaping wounds. I didn't have time to sit around; I needed to help Midoriya. I concentrated on keeping my entire body hardened to stop the gaping wounds from bleeding out. I still didn't know how to use my regeneration quirk; perhaps it would heal me without much effort.

Sure enough, small puffs of steam rose from the cuts and gashes on my torso. I breathed a sigh of relief before using my enormous wings to fly into the air in search of Midoriya. Which wasn't hard to miss—I saw him at the center of a tornado of black tendrils.

I heard his screams all too clearly. My wounds had almost finished healing by the time I knew what to do. I kept my body stiff as I flew down to him, but before I could reach him, Uraraka had already made her way towards him.

I stopped mid-air to observe the anti-gravity girl as she floated toward him without a care for her own safety. Midoriya didn't need me; I needed to find Shinso. He wasn't far away, so I changed direction and flew down to him. I landed loudly beside him, his eyes widening as he saw me trembling in pain.

"You're bleeding," his voice heavy with concern as he rushed toward me, gripping my shoulders as his eyes scanned over my healing wounds.

"If you brainwash me, I will kill you," I said sternly, but I could tell by the look in his eyes that he wouldn't do that.

"You shouldn't be competing anymore; you're badly injured," he voiced.

"I'll be fine. It takes more than this to take me out," I chuckled. "Enough about that, you need to brainwash Midoriya," I said, raising a bloodied hand to his that still clung to my shoulder worriedly. "Please help him," I pleaded. I felt his grip tighten on me before he turned to watch Midoriya twist within his own quirk.
